MISSION STATEMENT

Youth Outdoor Day is a unique event designed to give the youth of Oregon a place to learn about conservation of habitat, hunting, fishing, camping and other outdoor activities.

Youth Outdoor Day is a cooperative effort with the Oregon Wildlife Heritage Foundation, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, Oregon Hunters Association, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, Oregon Trappers Association, Pheasants Forever, Delta Waterfowl, Mary’s Peak Hound Club, Santiam Flycasters and North Santiam Spey Casters, Oregon Duck Hunters Association, Coastal Conservation Association, NW Liberty Reptiles, Oregon Bow Hunters (Bow Tech), Foundation for North American Wild Sheep, Oregon State Police, Northwest Steelheaders and the Yamhill County Search and Rescue.

The event is designed for youths 5 – 14 years old and gives them the opportunity to participate in events such as Sporting Clays, archery, fishing, camping, decoy painting, fly casting, wildlife calling and numerous other events. Our objective is to educate youths of today for all aspects of the great outdoors.

This event is meant to be a day of fun and education for the youth of Oregon and Washington. Every child that attends receives a logo T-shirt, lunch, a raffle prize and as much fun as they can handle.
