GOOD COMEBACK Washington has won 14 games (including four of the last five games) after trailing by double digits at one point, most recently at Portland (3/11, down 21). The last Wizards victory when trailing by at least 20 points was vs. Sacramento (3/14/2015, down 21, 113-97).

The 15-point comeback at Sacramento (3/10, 120-113 OT) ties the largest deficit overcome by Washington over the last 20 season; tying the win vs. Philadelphia (11/23/10, 116-114 OT) and vs. Phoenix (1/30/04, 105-100). That win also tied the second largest comeback in team history to start a fourth quarter (3/13/95, at Charlotte, 106-103). The largest being 18 points (2/13/79, at San Diego Clippers, 138-136 2OT).

Previous comebacks have been at Phoenix (3/7. down 11), vs. Orlando (3/5, down 17), vs. Philadelphia (1/14, down 13), vs. Chicago (1/10, down 18), at Milwaukee (1/8, down 12), vs. Milwaukee (12/26, down 10), at Chicago (12/21, down 13), vs. L.A. Clippers (12/18, down 11), vs. Charlotte (12/14, down 10), vs. Denver (12/8, down 14), at Brooklyn (12/5, down 16) and vs. Phoenix (11/21, down 10). The 14 comebacks are second most this season (Toronto has 17). The 14 is the most over the last 20 seasons in team history (13 in 2004-05).

EN FUEGO Washington is 35-12 (.745) over the last 47 games, including an 25-6 (.806) record in the last 31 and 7-3 (.700) over the last 10. The 35 wins since Dec. 5 is tied for the most in the NBA with Golden State and San Antonio. During that time the Wizards have shot .485 from the field (second in NBA) and averaged 111.6 points per contest (fourth in NBA). The 25-6 record since Jan. 6 is the most wins in the NBA (San Antonio with 22, Golden State and Miami at 21).

The Wizards are 39-16 (.709) since starting 2-8. Five of those defeats came on last-second shots vs. Cleveland (2/6), at Detroit (1/21), at Indiana (12/19), at San Antonio (12/2) and at Oklahoma City (11/30). Winning at Atlanta (1/27), Washington reached 10 wins in back-toback months (10-5 in Dec., 11-5 in Jan.) for the first time since 2006-07 (12-4 in Dec. 2006, 10-5 in Jan. 2007). The Wizards became the first team to start a season 2-8, or worse, then reach 15 games over .500 in NBA history (sixth team to go 10 over .500 after starting 2-8). Washington has been six games over .500 and six games under in the same season for only the second time in team history (1996-97). The Wizards are one of four teams in the East to have a winning record against both the Eastern and Western Conferences.

Washington won its 40th game of the season at Sacramento (3/10), the earliest the team has reached the 40-win mark since 2/23 of the 1978-79 season. The Wizards matched last season's win total (41) with the win at Portland (3/11). If Washington reaches 50 wins, it would be the first time since the 1978-79 season (54-28) and the fifth time overall. The Wizards .631 winning percentage is currently the fifth best in team history (Washington Bullets were .732 in 1974-75, en route to a 60-22 record).

BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK Washington has won 10 straight games that are a part of a back-to-back (1/18-present). The five straight sweeps matches the Clippers (Oct.-Dec.) for the longest streak of back-to-back sweeps this season. Golden State (Nov.-Dec.) had a streak of four straight sweeps earlier this season. The Wizards are 16-10 in back-to-back games, with three more sets remaining.
