2018 eligibility and selection criteria

Secondary level

Athletic Excellence Bursary for grade 10 students

(Bursaries of $750)

Goal:

Encourage the grade 10 student-athlete who obtained remarkable athletic performances during the 2017 season.

Eligibility criteria:

Must be a grade 10 student in June 2018;

Must have maintained a minimum average grade of 75% during the 2017-2018 academic year;

Must be a native and/or resident of Québec for at least two years;

Must have played for a RSEQ 1st or 2nd division Juvenile team or Bantam AAA football team in 2017;

Will be pursuing full-time studies in grade 11 in 2017 and will be playing for a RSEQ 1st or 2nd division juvenile team, Midget AAA or Bantam AAA football team in 2018.

Obtained remarkable athletic performances during the 2017 season.

Academic Excellence Bursary for grade 11 students

(Bursaries of $750)

Goal:

Encourage the grade 11 student-athlete who obtained remarkable academic results during the 2017-2018 academic year.

Eligibility criteria:

Must be a grade 11 student in June 2018;

Must obtain a high school diploma at the end of the 2017-2018 academic year;

Must be a native and/or resident of Québec for at least two years;

Must have played for a RSEQ 1st or 2nd division Juvenile team or Bantam AAA football team in 2017;

Will be playing for a RSEQ 1st, 2nd or 3rd division college or junior football team in 2018;

Obtained remarkable academic results, as well as good athletic performances during the 2017-2018 academic year (a minimum rating will also be accorded for athletic performance in analysis of the application).

Perseverance Bursary for grade 11 students

(Bursaries of $750)

Goal:

Reward the dedication of grade 11 students who have experienced academic and/or personal difficulties and who made remarkable progress during the 2017-2018 academic year.

Eligibility criteria:

Must be a grade 11 student in June 2018;

Must maintain a minimum average of 60 % and obtain a high school diploma at the end of the 2017-2018 academic year;

Must be a native and/or resident of Québec for at least two years;

Must have played for a football team in the RSEQ (1st or 2nd division) or civil network (Football Québec) in 2017;

Will be pursuing full-time college studies in 2018;

Will be playing for a RSEQ 1st, 2nd or 3rd division college or junior football team in 2018;

Has experienced academic and/or personal difficulties and demonstrated remarkable dedication, improvement and academic progress during the 2017-2018 academic year.

Perseverance Bursary for grade 10 students

Goal:

Reward the dedication of grade 10 students who have experienced academic and/or personal difficulties and who made remarkable progress during the 2017-20178 academic year.

Eligibility criteria:

Must be a grade 10 student in June 2018;

Must maintain a minimum average of 60% during the 2017-2018 academic year;

Must be a native and/or resident of Québec for at least two years;

Must have played for a football team in the RSEQ (1st or 2nd division) or civil network (Football Québec) in 2017;

Will be pursuing grade 11 studies in 2018;

Will be playing for a football team in the RSEQ (1st or 2nd division) or civil network (Football Québec) in 2018;

Has experienced academic and/or personal difficulties and demonstrated remarkable dedication, improvement and academic progress during the 2017-2018 academic year.

Leadership Bursary for grade 10 and 11 students

(Bursaries of $750)

Goal:

Encourage student-athletes who distinguished themselves by community involvement and demonstration of leadership ability.

Eligibility criteria:

Must be a grade 10 or 11 student in June 2018;

Must maintain a minimum average of 75% during the 2017-2018 academic year;

Must be a native and/or resident of Québec for at least two years;

Must have played for a football team in the RSEQ (1st or 2nd division) or civil network (Football Québec) in 2017;

Will be pursuing grade 11 or college studies in 2018;

Will be playing for a football team in the RSEQ (Juvenile 1st or 2nd division, college 1st, 2nd or 3rd division) or the civil network (Football Quebec) (Bantam, Midget or Junior) in 2018;

Was involved as a volunteer in a significant way in one or several public-service causes;

Played a leadership role and demonstrated positive capacity for leadership;

Obtained good athletic and academic results during the 2017-2018 academic year.

Must be a native and/or resident of Québec for at least two years;

Obtained remarkable athletic performances during the 2017 season.
