One scholarship in the amount of $1,000 each will be awarded for 2019. All are gift scholarships and not loans.RULESCandidates for this award shall be a descendant and/or relative of a US Military Veteran.Membership in the American Legion Auxiliary or the Sons of The American Legion is not necessary. Members will, however, be given priority in judging of the scholarship.Applicants must be in their senior year of high school or currently enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education.This is a scholarship to attend an accredited institution of higher education.Applicant must complete 20 hours of volunteer service within the community during the past 4 years.
