ROTC PROGRAMS-The Reserve Officers Training Corp is a college program offered at over 1,700 colleges and universities across the US that prepares young adults to become officers in the US Military. In exchange for a paid college education and guaranteed post-college career, cadets commit to service in the military after graduation. Criteria: WSFCS graduate who plans to attend WSSU and a member of an under-served population in higher education

JEFF TURNER-FORSYTH AUDUBON SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP (WINSTON-SALEM FOUNDATION)

Criteria: Forsyth County high school graduate with strong character, leadership, and academic skills (minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0) and demonstrated interest in wildlife or environmental issues through active participation in the Audubon Society of Forsyth County or through involvement in wildlife or other environmental activities either at school or in the community (Jeff is a 2005 MT graduate and currently completing a Master’s program in environmental science).

Award: $500-$1,000 scholarship
