Introductions around the table. 3.PAC Chair Report.Thank you to the volunteers for coming out to help out with hot lunch The Halloween Monster Mash was lots of fun. PAC gave out 19 golden tickets towards Bookfair.We welcome parents to email us if there is something they would like to discuss at a future PAC meeting. We can add it to the agenda for the next meeting. Please email the PAC Secretary with your topic of discussion at. Tanya@Mr Bissett isn’t able to use his Bookfair Rewards towards the books he needs so he is donating the rewards back to the school and we will in turn give him cash to spend.Problem Solving/Appeal Process – the district has developed guidelines intended to help prevent and or resolve conflict. It is accessible at sd42.ca on menu under parents > appeals process. 4.Principal/Vice Principal ReportTriple ball is done for the season - .a huge thank you to Mr. Hetherington, Mrs Dillon and Madame Wells for helping with practice and coaching.Bookfest at the ACT Theatre November 27th – from 8:30am – 12pm Presentation by Author Marc David Smith on Tuesday November 26th there will be an assembly in the gym. Parents are welcome. Student Led Conferences November 28/29th November 28th - early dismissal at 11:30am for student led conferences. November 29th - Classes NOT IN SESSION due to student led conferences. Sam mittee ReportsWe do a lot of fundraising at MRE and it looks like we have a lot of money but a good portion of it is earmarked towards the new playground. The following committees are relevant now:Art Cards – So far $1058 in art cards were sold. Old BusinessDonation to Starfish Backpack Program - In May a motion was made to donate $1000 to Starfish backpacks in Helen Haughton’s name. Helen was a volunteer at our school who passed away in the spring. A cheque will be sent to the program in Helen’s name.9. New BusinessChristmas Hampers – Our PAC is creating Christmas Hampers for some of our MRE families. They are accepting donations of non-perishable food items, toys, gift cards to the movies, grocery stores, Walmart and any other items you feel would brighten a family’s Christmas. There is a basket labelled “PAC Christmas Hampers” in the office where you can place your gifts. If you wish to purchase a specific item for a child, please email Nicole Keough at nekoalne@ and she will share the gender and age of a specific child in one of our families.
