We had a great turnout…sold 147 tickets, 18 decorators, the Knights and Charlena from Rejoice Boutique. At first calculation, it appears we profited about $2700+. Hopefully, we will have a final calculation at our meeting. If you haven’t received the code to utilize your 25% off discount with Rejoice, please email me. Please make a note that we will be meeting Monday, February 17th (President’s Day). The church office will be open! Wow! Believe it or not, Ash Wednesday, February 26 is just around the corner to kick off a new Lenten season. As our brunch guest speaker, Cindy Ward offered, let’s try praying at the beginning of each day with open hands to receive what God has to offer us! And then give it up to Him at the end of the day with a ‘whatever’ knowing we did our best that day.Our fish fry dessert sales will begin on February 28 and our last won’t be until April 3rd; 6 Fridays of desserts sales! I will need someone to chair this event. We never seem to have a problem with members bringing desserts and hopefully this year will be the same. We do have some regular dessert makers that are dealing with some tough family situations and may not be able to contribute as much this year, so those of us that can, let’s make sure we do what we can to make this fundraiser successful! I always say, “Catholic Daughters can bake in our sleep!”A few upcoming things to be on your radar: Our financial review will be in April and we will need about 6 ladies to assist with reviewing of the books. The first communion masses are scheduled for May 2 and May 8; and we will be needing to elect officers in May! We will need a nominating committee. Please lift in pray the Demetriou family. Brenda’s father in law, Chris Demetriou passed away this past week at age 90. Peg Adams needs our prayers also as she grieves over the loss of her daughter. Keep all of our members dealing with aging parents, health issues of their own, empty nests, etc. in your daily prayers. Blessings!
