Instructions: - PROF. JONES

Conversation ProjectInstructions:You and your partner will choose one chapter that we have covered so far in class. You and your partner will create a conversation from that chapter that will be four minutes long. You and your partner then need to record yourself through Zoom, Skype, Kakao, etc. (it doesn’t matter which one) and upload the video to YouTube as an “Unlisted Video.” Send Prof. Jones the link the day before your class (11:59 p.m.). On the day of the project, the whole class will listen to all of the presentations. If you read from a script or it sounds memorized, your grade will get lower (try to make it sound natural). This is not a mid-term! This is just a benchmark project. How to Prepare:Do NOT memorize scripts. Reciting a script does not show an ability to communicate in English. If you read from a script, I will know! ^^The BEST way to prepare is:Examine your chapter and find the language you need to speak about it.Make a list of all this language for your chapter.Vocabulary, Grammar, PhrasesUse your Textbook, Worksheets, Homework, etc.Practice speaking about the chapter OUT LOUD with your partner, if possible:A+ AnswersGood Vocabulary and GrammarKnowing your Time LimitYou will not be allowed to have any notes or scripts during the conversation.Chapter Summaries:Here is a summary of what we have covered in class about these chapters. You do not have to talk about all of these, and you can talk about things not listed here but that are related to the chapter.Unit TopicsTopics CoveredUnit OneInterestsWhat are you interested in?Do you play sports on the weekend?Which sport do you like to play? What do you do in your free time?Unit TwoDescriptionsWhat is your personality?/What are you like?Describe some family members or friends?
