CONSTRUCTION – 2021 EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT – PROJECT MANAGER – BTA TEMPLATEEffective: January 1, 2xxxThe following agreement stipulates the terms of employment that must be adhered to by all Project Managers employed with Your Company pany Values Your Company Name values form the foundation of the company. BE RealQuality over QualityDeliverables and accountabilities:The Project Manager is a key part of the fulfillment of the promises we make to our customers. The company’s brand and customer experience rely on the proper execution of the responsibilities of this role. The areas of accountability are as follows: Deliverables 1. X, XXX, XXX produced revenue at XX% Gross Profit Margin. 2. Maintain an average X/10 quality score through leading the customer’s experience and ensuring they are exceptionally satisfied. 3. Provide initial and ongoing training to all Your Company Name employees, ensuring each is competent in their required skill set.4. Daily updates to all required administrative tracking systems.Accountabilities Deliverable 1 – Delivering projects on budget and on schedule1. Take booked projects from Job Title of person in charge of organizing production (i.e. Production Manager, Operations Manager, etc.) and schedule them into production for efficient and profitable completion. 2. Schedule and organize all Your Company Name employees, tools, and materials to complete projects in the most efficient way possible. 3. Produce XX hours personally on budget and on schedule per X (interval – i.e. day, week). 4. Set and discuss X (interval – i.e. daily, weekly) and X (interval – i.e. daily, weekly) goals with your crew. The crew plays an essential role in reaching your targets as a Project Manager and you will need an effective plan. 5. Ensure all necessary materials and tool rentals are ordered and arranged at least X days in advance to prevent delays to the production schedule. 6. Schedule and manage all subcontractors and their materials to complete projects on budget and on time. 7. Oversee and support in production on a daily basis to ensure Your Company Name employees are producing on budget and on schedule. 8. Ensure all Change Orders (additions or changes to the scope of work/contract) are approved in writing and by email. Approval is required from the Job Title of person in your company who processes Change Orders, Job Title of person who approves Change Orders, and customer before commencement of the work.9. Maintain regular contact with subcontractors, suppliers, designers, customers, employees, Job Title of person in your company who processes internal financials and tracking and Job Title of person in charge of organizing production (i.e. Production Manager, Operations Manager, etc.) to ensure that all project progress is on track.Deliverable 2 – Customer Service1. Communicate with all customers as necessary to understand any questions they may have. Check in with customers X (interval – i.e. daily, weekly, bi-weekly) to ensure they are happy with the progression of the project. 2. Update all customers with any changes to their project schedule.3. Send Weekly Progress Report email to Job Title of person on your company who handles takeoffs every X (day of week) for all ongoing projects by X pm. 4. Ensure all Your Company Name employees and subcontractors are communicating with customers in a professional and polite manner. 5. Ensure none of Your Company Name employees or subcontractors communicate with customers about the work scope, design, or make suggestions outside of the contracted scope of work.6. Oversee any customer complaints and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner. Complaint customers must be contacted within X hours of complaint being received. All complaints must be reported to the Job Title of person in charge or organizing production (i.e. Production Manager, Operations Manager, etc.) within X hours along with suggested method of resolution. 7. Conduct a final customer walk through to ensure full satisfaction and that all deficiencies have been taken care of prior to final sign off of project completion. Deliverable 3 – Employee Training1. Conduct initial Your Company Name orientation to ensure that all new employees are briefed on site organization and basic Your Company Name policies. 2. Conduct initial safety training to ensure that all new employees clearly understand Your Company Name safety practices and are committed to their execution. 3. Ensure all new employees have a clear understanding of tools; their use, how to operate them safely, cleaning procedures, as well as trailer use and organization.4. Conduct all training necessary for each employee to develop required skills in their specific role in order to produce jobs confidently and efficiently.5. Ensure all employees understand the importance of goal setting and are committed to tracking their productivity on site. Deliverable 4 – Administrative Responsibilities1. Maintain and update accurate data in Payroll tracking system name, the company’s payroll time clock software, for yourself and your assigned crew daily as well as review of timecards in Payroll tracking system name. 2. Maintain and update accurate scheduling and data updates in Your CRM Name, the company’s CRM daily. Project schedules for Your Company Name employees and subcontractors are to be reviewed and confirmed X (interval i.e. daily, weekly).3. Sign off on Your Company Name Scope Document at the completion of entire project. Ensure all Change Orders (additions or changes to the scope of work/contract) are approved in writing and by email. Approval is required from the Job Title of person in your company who processes Change Orders, Job Title of person who approves Change Orders and customer before commencement of the work. 4. Send Weekly Progress Report email to Job Title of person in your company who handles takeoffs every X (day of week) for all ongoing projects by X pm.5. Accurately complete all expense forms – travel mileage and job related – for yourself and review the submissions of your assigned crew. Submission are due X (interval – i.e. biweekly, on the X date of every month) to the Job Title of person in your company who processes internal financials and tracking.Reporting:1. Report directly to the Job title of person in charge of organizing production (i.e. Production Manager, Operations Manager, etc.)2. Attend weekly GSR meetings on time with prep completed by X (day of week) at X pm.3. Maintain and update accurate data for all previous listed administrative responsibilities as per individual submission deadlines The following will require sign off and/or notification of the Job Title of person in charge of organizing production (i.e. Production Manager, Operations Manager, etc.):1. Any serious injury or accident occurring on a Your Company Name job site2. Any liability, warranty, or damage issue3. Any incidence of fraud or theft within the company4. All purchasing of new tools5. Any incident involving damage to Your Company Name or customer’s assets6. A serious breach by an employee or stakeholder of our corporate values7. Major strategic, cash, people, or brand initiatives Compensation structure:All Project Managers are paid X (interval – i.e. weekly, biweekly, monthly). The pay period encompasses describe what the period is (i.e. the previous two weeks up to and including Friday afternoon). Employee BenefitsEmployee benefits are/are not provided by Your Company Name. Performance and Wage ReviewPerformance reviews will take place on a X (interval – i.e. quarterly, annually, set milestone) basis. Probationary PeriodA X-month probationary period will be in effect from the start of employment.General expectations:TechnologyA X (device – i.e. iPad, laptop, tablet, etc.) will be provided by Your Company Name for use of the Project Manager only. Any damages to Your Company Name assets are the responsibility of the Project Manager. Travel AllowanceProject Managers are paid Xc per km for the use of their personal vehicle when necessary for business use.To and from the job site travel at the beginning and end of each day is not eligible nor accepted for the travel allowance unless the personal vehicle is being used to transport multiple Your Company Name tools or bulk building material (when out of town).The Your Company Name Mileage Expense Form must be filled out correctly on a X (interval – i.e. daily, weekly) basis and submitted X (interval – i.e. daily, biweekly, on the X (date) of every month) to Job Title of person in your company who processes internal financials and tracking.All travel allowance expenses not correctly recorded or not submitted by the X (date) will not be paid and cannot be banked for future payment.Job Site PresenceUniformsAll employees are expected to wear Your Company Name X, X, and X (list attire requirements – i.e. t-shirt, hat, etc.). Work boots (steel toe, shank, and heel) are required at all times.SafetyProject Managers must adhere to Name of Your Labor Practices at all times.Respect of EnvironmentAll employees must refrain from the use of inappropriate language on and around Your Company Name job sites and while wearing Your Company Name attire in the community. Any music played on a Your Company Name job site must contain appropriate language.VehicleIt is expected that all Project Managers have a valid driver’s license and vehicle.Tools & TrailerAll major tools will be provided by Your Company Name and are expected to be used and taken care of as if they were your own. They must be kept clean, organized, and in safe working condition at all times through daily maintenance.It is expected that you bring your own hand tools to site including the following: list required hand tools (i.e. tool belt, hammer, etc.).Explanation of whether or not Project Managers can bring their own personal tools to site and what the protocol is if those personal tools are broken or damaged. Tools belonging to Your Company Name must be kept in the designated Your Company Name trailer and are not to be stored in personal vehicles at any time. The trailer must be kept clean and organized at all time and locked when unattended.Your Company Name tools and trailer are for business use only and should not be used for personal projects or to transport personal tools. It is the role of the Project Manager to ensure the trailer is securely stored at the Your Company Name shop when unused on a job site and between projects (including weekends). Project Managers must confirm on a X (interval – i.e. daily, weekly) basis that the Trailer Checklist is accurate and that all Your Company Name tools are accounted for. Anything found in need of repair must be reported X (interval – i.e. immediately, daily, weekly, etc.) to the Job title of person in charge of organizing production (i.e. Production Manager, Operations Manager, etc.) and approval is required prior to the purchase of any new tools. AbsenteeismSick DaysThere are/are not paid sick days. Project Manager must notify the Job title of person in charge of organizing production (i.e. Production Manager, Operations Manager, etc.) by X am if they are sick and require a day off. A doctor’s note will be required for illnesses requiring more than X consecutive days off. Late PolicyProject Managers are expected to be on the job site X minutes prior to the start of the workday. Project Managers must notify the Job title of person in charge of organizing production (i.e. Production Manager, Operations Manager, etc.) by X am if they are going to be late.Rain Day PolicyWork will commence as scheduled regardless of weather unless otherwise stated by the Job title of person in charge of organizing production (i.e. Production Manager, Operations Manager, etc.).Staff MeetingsAttendance to all staff meetings and training session is mandatory.Resignation, Employee Enforcement & TerminationResignationProject Manager agree to give a full X weeks’ notice to the Name/Title of relevant person (i.e. President, Managing Partner, etc.) prior to resignation.EnforcementCertain circumstances may lead to reprimanding prior to termination by way of a “3 strikes you’re out” scenario. Such actions may include but are not limited to:1. Unsatisfactory completion of work or fulfillment of your position 2. Not showing up to work or not showing up to work without proper notice given3. General disinterest towards the job which brings down the morale of the other crew members4. Overall bad attitudeAt the first incident an official verbal warning will be given. Upon a second incident, an official written warning will be issued outlining the parameters of the warning. If management has reason to issue a third notice, termination of the employment agreement may be considered.Grounds for TerminationCertain circumstances may lead to immediate termination. Such actions may include but are not limited to:1. Fighting (with other employees, subcontractors, customers, or suppliers)2. Being intoxicated3. Stealing from the company, its employees, subcontractors, customers, or suppliers4. Revocation of a driver’s license which prevents you from being able to fulfil your duties and obligations5. Reckless use of employee equipment6. Endangering yourself or others by way of un-safely going about completing tasksAll terms of this Employment Agreement are subject to change. No terms of this agreement should be considered prescient setting for upcoming employment contracts. By signing this document, I agree to and understand all of the preceding policies.
