Cheryl Delventhal and Ryan Salis were absent. PROOF OF PUBLICATION: Proof of publication was posted at the Post Office, Royal Bank and the front of the Village Hall.RESOLUTION #608, BORROW $45,000.00 FROM ROYAL BANK TO PURCHASE A “2020” F450 FORD SUPER DUTY MAINTENANCE TRUCK THAT WILL BE PAID FOR BY THE VILLAGE OF AVOCA’S GENERAL FUND, WATER FUND, AND SEWER FUND: Motion, Prestwood/Harris to approve Resolution #608, to borrow money from Royal Ban in the amount of $45,000.00 to purchase a “2020” F450 Ford Super Duty Maintenance Truck that one-third will be paid by each of the following accounts; general account, water account, and sewer account. Roll call: Harris, aye; Prestwood, aye; Ramirez, aye; Steven, aye; Perkins, aye. (Passed: 5 ayes, 0 nays) VILLAGE HALL RENTAL OCTOBER 24, 2020: The rental of the gym was put back on the agenda because Brenda Steven was present to explain the reason for the rental of the Village Hall Gym. Brenda stated that she was planning on having a small surprise birthday party. Motion, Ramirez/Harris to not allow anyone permission to rent the Village Hall Gym until further notice. (Passed: 5 ayes 0 nays)MOTION TO GO INTO CLOSED SESSION: Motion, Prestwood/Harris to go into closed session for the purpose of considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility under Wis Stats 19.85 (1)(c)-Employee Evaluations. Roll call: Prestwood aye; Ramirez, aye; Steven, aye; Harris, aye; Perkins aye. (Passed: 5 ayes, 0 nays)RECONVENE TO OPEN SESSION: Motion, Ramirez/Harris to reconvene to open session. (Passed: 5 ayes, 0 nays)CONSIDER ANY ACTION TO BE TAKEN:Motion, Harris/Ramirez to approve Dale Peterson’s wage at $42,640.00 a year plus his $5,000.00 that he is allotted for overtime pay and a 3% raise increase at a 45 hour work week starting with his first paycheck received in “2021”. Dale will become a salaried employee and not punch a clock. Dale’s total salary for “2021” will be $49,.069.20. The village will pay $1,659.29 of his monthly health insurance premium, with Dale paying $260.97, and the village will pay 6.75% of his wages towards his retirement, which he will match. Motion, Ramirez/Harris to approve Susie Ziebarth’s wage at $40,560.00 a year plus her $4,000.00 that is allocated for overtime and a 3% increase at a 45-hour work week starting with her first paycheck received in “2021”. Susie will become a salaried employee and not punch a clock. Susie’s total salary for “2021” will be $45,896.80. The Village will pay $1,659.29 of her monthly health insurance premium and she will pay $260.97. The village will pay 6.75% of her wages towards her retirement, which she will match.Motion, Harris/Ramirez to increase Liz Wilkinson’s wage to $13.50 per hour starting with her first paycheck received in “2021”, and pay 6.75% of her wages towards her retirement, which she will match. Liz will continue to punch a time clock because she is an hourly paid employee.Motion, Harris/Steven to give Dan Carey an 8.0% increase on his yearly salary of $34,971.05 equaling $2,797.68 which would total $37,768.73 for the next three years. Dan will be entitled to a cost of living wage of not less than 1.5% thereafter. This will start with his first paycheck received in “2021Motion, Harris/Ramirez to give Jennifer Carey a 1.6% cost of living raise putting her wage at $16.17 per hour as the Police Administrator Assistant with her wages included in the police payroll expense. This increase will start with her first check received in “2021”.Motion, Ramirez/Harris to approve Adam Lin’s wage at $17.00 an hour plus his $5,000.00 of allotted overtime and a 3% increase for his “2021” pay. Adam will be put on salary and work forty-five hours a week and not punch a time clock. The total amount of his “2021” salary will be $41,570.80. The village will pay $1,659.29 of his monthly health insurance premium, with Adam paying $260.97, and the village will pay 6.75% of his wages towards his retirement, which he will match.
