(ii)16/2346 : Davenport Arms Site : Discharge of ConditionsThe complaint is ongoing(iii)17/4731 : Retrospective Application : Davenport SiteThis matter is ongoing. (iv)17/6451 : Peach Tree HouseThis application is for the removal of Condition 4 which restricted the ménage, land and stables for the use of the occupier of Peach Tree House. The owner may now wish to sell the land separately and therefore will need the Condition removed as it is likely that the house and land will be sold separately. The Parish Council do not object to the house and land being sold separately nor to any new owner of the land using the land for light personal activities but would object to the land being used commercially as the lane belongs to the residents and upkeep and maintenance is done by them, also there is a very bad junction, on a severe bend, off Calveley Hall Lane for traffic entering the lane, as well as the lane itself being totally unsuitable for commercial traffic and the associated HGVs.b)Planning Applications Decided (i)17/4498 : Calveley Mill : Change of Use and Erection of Light Industrial and Storeage Unit /New Vehicle Access.Mr Waterhouse has attempted to speak to the Planning Officer for the Bailey’s application about the concern raised in the Parish Council’s response to this application. Following the meeting last July when Mr Hannaby said that any comments from the Parish Councils or any individuals would be fully responded to and explained in the Planning Officer’s Report, this does not appear to be the situation in the report from the Planning Officer in this approval. On this application we said that, if Cheshire East decided to approve the application we wanted conditions imposed, including improvements to the tow path. However, the report did not contain any comments about Calveley Parish Council’s response. Also they said they did not think that S106 to cover these issues was appropriate. Mr Waterhouse thinks this comment should be explained 23/18HIGHWAYSa)Proposed Pedestrian CrossingNo further progress.b)Litter PickingA Litter Pick will be arranged for Sunday 4 March 2018.Action: Clerkc)Calveley Hall LaneNo further progress. d)Speed GunsNo further progress.e)Road Works : Wardle BridgeNothing to report at this time.f)Traffic CountsNothing to report.g)Cheshire East Street Lighting : LEDThe light at Masons Row had been converted to LED. h)SIDsCheshire East have said that they no longer want Parish Councils to locate SIDs in permanent locations. Mr Waterhouse believed that there were a number of significant weaknesses in a mobile battery system – they constantly fail and the usable life following the charging period is not what it should be. He had been reliably informed that the battery life is nowhere near as good as advertised. The Clerk was asked to contact Mr Sparks and advise him that if Alpraham Parish Council decide to use a mobile device with a battery to make sure they have a cast iron guarantee regarding battery life. Calveley Parish Council decided not to pursue a mobile system.24/18CANAL AND RIVER TRUSTNo further progress.25/18NOTICE BOARDS : STATION Awaiting completion of the Davenport site.26/18READING ROOM UPDATENo further progress.27/18REPORTSa)CouncilMr Jones was not at the meeting.b)Neighbourhood WatchNothing to report.c)Police Cluster MeetingNo report received.28/18CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED NOT COVERED IN AGENDAQueens Garden PartyCalveley Parish Council had no nominations for this.Town and Parish Council ConferenceMr Waterhouse would try to attend this Conference on 20 February.29/18DATE OF NEXT MEETINGThe date of the next meeting will be 12 March 2018 – the deadline for Agenda items being 1 March 2018. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .ChairmanClerkDate: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ................
