Class time will be Friday & Saturday evening. Round Robin Activities include:BB guns, Archery, Sling Shots, Tomahawk Throwing, 22 LR rifle range, Trap range There will be a special range window event for Venture Crews/ Scouters to try rifles and 22LR pistols.Saturday there will be a Cowboy Action Shooting Demonstration by the Granite City Gunslingers SASS Club in their Cow Town Range at the Kimball Rod & Gun Club. There will be a separately waivered non-BSA SASS event following the demonstration for any Scouters and Scouts with parent’s permission to try Cowboy Action Firearms.You may bring your own firearms to this event. All firearms are to remain unloaded, cased, and stored in a locked vehicle when they aren’t being used on the ranges. No ammunition may be brought into this event.Please bring your own eye and ear protection. Some will be available for sale.A few firearms will be available for general use at the event. At the clubhouse 12-gauge and 20-gauge shotgun shells must be purchased at the clubhouse for $8.00 per box of 25 and 22 LR ammo at $5.00 for 50 rounds. Anyone planning to shoot trap will need to purchase clay pigeons at $5.00 youth/$6.00 adults per 25 clays. If taking the Shotgun Merit Badge (Limit 20 Scouts), Scouts need to hit at least 13 of 25 targets in two 25 target groups. Plan on a minimum of 2 boxes of shells and 50 clays minimum ($26 total). You will need more for practice. Please bring your Shotgun Merit Badge pamphlet to classes.For Venturing Crews and Scouters participating in the Special Venturing Crew/ Scouter Rifle Range time window, centerfire ammunition is available for $1.00 per round.
