Press Release, Post SHOT SHOW 2006

Press Release, Post SHOT SHOW 2006

We at Rapid Deployment Protection Systems, Inc. are committed to the safety and survivability of our fellow law enforcement officers, protection specialists, and military personnel around the world.  Our Rapid Deployment Body Armor Bag saw its public debut at the 2006 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, to which it received an overwhelming response;  it was the talk of the show!  Members from the law enforcement and military community, both domestic and foreign, took the time to witness the Rapid Deployment Body Armor Bag in action, as President and CEO Ken Blakeley demonstrated just how easily the bag converts from discrete weapons carry bag to body armor vest in seconds.

The Body Armor Bag is a patent-pending product of the USA, created and designed by Ken Blakeley.  To date, there are 3 designs of the Rapid Deployment Body Armor Bag(RDBAB):

RDBAB Version 1 will fit most submachine guns with a folding stock and short barreled rifles under 24".

RDBAB Version 2 will accomodate any 39" long or shorter patrol rifle. RDBAB Version 2 has a 15" protective shroud that covers the muzzle and hand-guard of the weapon; the shroud can be rapidly removed and the remaining portion of the bag is donned as a vest.

RDBAB Version 3 will accomodate any 45" long or shorter patrol rifle. RDBAB version 3 has a 21" protective shroud that covers the muzzle and hand-guard of the weapon; the shroud can be rapidly removed and the remaining portion of the bag is donned as a vest.

New versions of the RDBAB are currently on the drawing board or awaiting production for sale to the Law Enforcement/Military Community.  However, we will go out of our way to ensure the client has "what they need, when they need it".  We can customize any of our bags to fit the needs of the individual or agency.  Colors, pouch configuration, ballistic linings, etc. can be tailored to customer specs without hesitation.

The bags listed above all feature integrated "Universal Plate Carrier Technology" pouches.  Although the RDBAB's by themselves have no ballistic qualities, when paired up with either ceramic or steel ballistic plates, the RDBAB becomes an effective tool that when combined with soft body armor, will protect the wearer from rifle ammunition.  Individually equipped, the RDBAB will provide the wearer with additional magazines (rifle, submachine gun, pistol, etc), flashlight, flex-cuffs, medical kit, gas mask, etc.

We hope that you will look at our product.  When you do, and after saying to yourself "I have to have one of those", please do not hesitate to contact us at either or support@.  Created and designed by law enforcement officers, and made in the U.S.A., the Rapid Deployment Body Armor Bag is what every member of the law enforcement/military community needs to have in their arsenal and available at a moments notice.  Don't let the next North Hollywood Shootout scenario catch you off guard.  Be ready.  Be prepared.  Be safe.

Product Description:

As we progress through the twenty-first century, those of us in law enforcement and the military must continually adapt to an ever changing atmosphere in the world around us.  At Rapid Deployment Protection Systems, Inc., we are striving to prepare and equip our men and women who defend the Homeland, here and abroad.  Whatever your mission, there is no doubt those responsibilities have increased over the past 5 to 10 years.  Our product is revolutionary and an excellent tool that will help law enforcement and the military in carrying out their mission here and around the world.

The Rapid Deployment Body Armor Bag is an essential new product.  No other product on the market allows for the concealed carry of a long-gun with rapid deployment body armor capabilities within a matter of seconds.  Our bag/vest configuration provides first responders immediate access to a long-gun, additional ammunition, and ballistic plates that can protect against rifle ammunition.

With the advent of soft body armor, our police officers became safer, but only as safe as Kevlar could make them.  Today, those materials have changed.  They weigh less, last longer, and are better manufactured;  however, a significant problem still exists.  A law enforcement level IIIA vest does not stop rifle caliber ammunition.

Recently, a number of articles have been published regarding the need for patrol rifles in police cruisers.  Some have even mentioned the replacement of the shotgun.  Whatever your opinion, ask yourself one question:  "How prepared am I to combat two, three, or even four armed assailants equipped with automatic rifles and body armor?"

Created, designed, and sold by law enforcement officers, for law enforcement officers, Rapid Deployment Protection Systems Inc., wants our brothers and sisters in arms to have "what they need, when they need it."
