WARNING! Exercise careful firearms handing procedures at all times. Ensure the weapon is unloaded prior to disassembly, cleaning or installation of the bore guide. BoreBuddy recommends a double visual chamber inspection (look once, look away, look again), followed a physical chamber inspection to ensure the rifle is unloaded. This kit is intended for training or recreational purposes only, any unlawful use is strictly forbidden. We recommend completely separating and removing the upper from the lower while using the bore guide. Always wear eye and ear protection when discharging firearms (yes, even 22lr!)
Bore guide
The BoreBuddy AR22 bore guide assists in cleaning the bore of your rifle without the mess. The bore guide comes with an optional seal o-ring to help keep solvent out of the upper receiver. This o-ring is meant to be installed inside the internal groove inside the front of the guide. It seals against the outside of the barrel stub to keep solvent from draining out the front of the guide.
To use the guide, simply remove the bolt assembly and charging handle, and insert the guide as shown in the above photo.
Align the solvent port with the ejection port, and push the guide until it seats fully on the barrel. A ball detent will engage in the barrel ring when the guide is fully inserted with a tactile and audible click. The bore guide is now ready to use. We recommend inserting a jag and patch into the guide dry, and then applying your solvent of choice using a pipette or eyedropper bottle.
