FEATURES:

Atomic digital clock

Daily alarm clock and snooze function

DST function (Daylight Saving Time)

12/24 hour formats

User selectable temperature format (Fahrenheit or Centigrade)

User selectable time zones (PST, MST, CST, EST)

FIRST RECEPTION AFTER POWER-UP

The clock will start to search for the WWVB signal after installing the battery

With optimal conditions, the correct time will be displayed within 3 to 10 minutes

The radio tower icon will keep flashing after you start the clock. This indicates that the radio time signal is being searched for. Other keys do not function except the “MONTH/HOUR/ZONE/WAVE” which will stop manual synchronization.

The text “WAVE OK” will be displayed next to the radio tower icon if signal is received successfully.

It is normal for the signal to not synchronize immediately. Place the clock in a window facing towards Colorado and wait until the next day. Signal reception is best at night and the clock will continue searching periodically until it receives successfully.

RADIO CONTROL TIME UPDATE

The reception system of the clock verifies its date daily at 1:00 am with the signal obtained from WWVB. If no signal is received in 4 minutes, the system will automatically try to compare the time at every hour until 4:00am and 1:00 pm.

You can start reception manually by pressing the “MONTH/HOUR/ZONE/WAVE” button anytime.

IMPORTANT:

It is recommended that you put this clock near a window if it becomes difficult to receive the signal. The clock receives the time signal via a built-in antenna and it automatically adjusts to match this time. Once the correct time is set, the clock continues running with it’s internal quartz mechanism. The internal quartz mechanism is also very accurate; therefore it does not matter if the clock is occasionally unable to receive the time signals. You will lose about 1 second of time per week that it is unable to receive.

POSSIBLE RECEPTION-INTERFERING SOURCES

As with all radio receivers the radio controlled clock may be subject to certain interference. Interference can be caused by a thunderstorm or metallic elements in buildings (such as windows with metal frames). Also, domestic appliances which have not been freed as well as TV sets and PCs can interfere with reception. It is recommended that you keep this clock away from such devices that may cause interference if you are having difficulty with receiving the time signal. Some interference may also cause the time or date to display incorrectly, to fix this simply move the clock away from the disturbance and press the “MONTH/HOUR/ZONE/WAVE” key once.
