Accepted. An addition to the April meeting when a vote was passed to allow women helpers to collect or count money at the swap meet. Accepted. Tom Lambert reported the club income and expenses and will research investments which will offer the best rate of return. The annual Street Rods East will be held at the York fairgrounds on June 2nd , 3rd, and 4th. Bob Kesilewski reported the trailer has been loaded and old cans of paint cannot be used and should be donated to the Silver City Midget Club. Line and dot painting will be done on Saturday. He asked to keep the club's cones separate from the stadium's cones. Tom explained how the tickets will track the number of spectators and vendor spaces. He said that 2024 swap meet should be OK per the site manager. Dave Harutunian reported the clothing closet is stocked up.. He suggested that instead of buying a new T shirt trailer, the club should consider buying a large fiber glass box which could be put on the club's existing open trailer. There will be a photo shoot of cars by the students at the Pond Hill School in Wallingford on May 9th. Greg Piesyna is negotiating for a new venue for his truck show at Bethany Airport.

Steve VanBlarcom has 55-57 Chevy parts, including 265 and 283 engines for sale. Dave Harutunian has an electricity provider which has lower rates than the major suppliers.

NUTMEG MOTOR NEWS ? CONNECTICUT STREET ROD ASSOCIATION

Ronnie Roadster Hi Everyone,

Our Annual first Sunday in May Swap Meet was another great success. Overall, there was very little in the way of problems that needed attention. The change for the better on how the counting was accomplished went over perfectly. It actually turned into a competition between teams on how close the count was. With the way we as a group work together to put on this annual event gives us an outstanding rapport with the stadium management. We are now all set for our May 2024 Swap Meet once again.

Since many of us have been doing the swap meets for so many years now, or should I say many decades, it was a pleasure seeing how the newer members and especially the younger members putting so much effort into the event. I'm happy to say the future of CSRA is going to be safe for a very long time with the passion shown.

Next we have two great club events taking place in June. First, on Sunday the 4th the Model Kit show is being held. The model show has it all - displays, swapping, and selling. This show is different than other model shows due to the fact members bring their Street rods / Hot rods to the event. This adds greatly to help make our event unique. Last year three important people involved in the model kit hobby attended our event. Since than the word has gotten out about who we are and what we do so this year's event is expected bigger and even better. This year the plan is to serve Hot dogs for a small cost so Anthony and Felix Compo as well as anyone interested in helping will show those who attend our CSRA hospitality.

The next June event is our annual CNN Conn Dragway Reunion once again taking place the Monday night after Father's day. (June 19th) If the weather is not cooperating on Monday we have Tuesday for the rain date. This year's event is being held at the Berlin Fairgrounds. With the change of venue, we expect the attendance will be much larger. This year's honoree is FC Fitts. He was the track manager for many years. The entire Fitts family always supported the track until the very end. One reminder for club members attending - - -expect to be asked to help. We're all in this together so expecting members to be helping is the least everyone can do.

Also, in June we are planning on beginning getting together at the club house on a Saturday night to

just hang out for the evening. There's nothing formal just a plan to meet up at our club house when this

is taking place. I will send out an email about the plan. Everyone is welcome and the idea is a car club

doing car stuff.

ONE LINERS SENT IN BY PETE BOZZO

-- My 85-year-old uncle and his wife were sitting quietly in their living room, each in their matching recliners, after a while my aunt asked, "How come you never talk to me anymore?" My uncle replied, "I told you everything I know a long time ago!"
