AYDEN-GRIFTON HIGH SCHOOL

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year. During US History 1 we will study the history, people and events that has made our country exceptional in almost every way. Our goal is to cover American History from the beginning of colonization through the present time. We will utilize the chrome books, document analyst, collaborative pairs, current events, YouTube, and each other in order to better understand American History. I hope during the course of the semester, your knowledge and understanding of American History will continue to grow. Progress reports will be handed out after each completed unit.

Requirements

In order to succeed in World History you will need the following items.

1. Pencil or Pen (Mechanical pencils are preferable)

2. Notebook (To store handouts & maps)

3. Composition Book (To keep homework and notes)

4. Colored Pencils (For Maps and Projects)

Class Rules

1. No cell phones seen in class, 1st warning, then phone will be taken

2. Be ready with all your materials when the bell rings. Come to class tardy: 1st warning, after that you will be written up. Head phones within class, same as tardy

3. Remain seated and silent while I have the floor. This includes while one of your peers has the floor.

4. No eating or drinking in class. Except for water

5. Absolutely no foul language in class. This includes both profanity and racial slurs.

6. If it’s not yours don’t touch it.

In accordance to Ayden-Grifton school policy, all cell phones/non-school related devices will be collected at the beginning of the class. They will be returned at the end of class. If an inappropriate/unauthorized electronic is discovered during the class, it will be confiscated, turned into the office, and a write up will be submitted.
