3-Minute Oral Presentations Instructions

Students will be allotted 3 minutes for their presentation and 3 minutes to respond to questions from the faculty judges. Faculty Judges will be selected within the student's academic disciplines. Students will be judged by the following criteria:

! Speaking quality ! Nonverbal ! Content ! Presentation length 3-Minute Oral Presentation ! The challenge is to present your research or creative work in only 3 minutes. ! Should you chose to use a PowerPoint presentation, you have a maximum of

3 slides to present your work in an engaging way that anyone and everyone can understand; this is similar to an elevator pitch. ! If you are using prerecorded audio and visual materials, they should be embedded in your presentation and will count towards the 3 allotted slides. ! If presenting in PowerPoint or other presentation software you must bring a laptop. We will provide a LCD project. To see samples of a 3-minute talk go to:
