CASE shows its sector pedigree at RWM

Turin 12 September 2016

CASE machines line up for RWM, at the NEC in Birmingham from September 13h - 15th.

This year’s machine line-up from CASE for the RWM show at the NEC from September 13th to 15th will include machines with established reputations in the waste and recycling management sectors for durability, high performance and fuel efficiency.

On display at the CASE stand (5P150-Q151) in Hall 5, will be the 721F XR from the popular F Series wheel loader range, plus a WX148 wheel excavator and a TR320 compact tracked loader. Equipped with the latest efficient, emissions-compliant engines and fuel-saving technology these machines are perfectly designed to work in the harshest of environments.

CASE dealer Warwick Ward, who have a large customer base in the waste and recycling sector, will also be exhibiting at the show (Hall/stand 5R150-S151).

The renowned 721F XR wheel loader

The F Series 721F XR is of one of the most advanced waste and recycling wheel loaders available, with a range of features making it an ideal choice for a wide range of applications. As with the rest of the F series range, the 721F XR has a powerful, high-performing Tier 4 final engine, achieving emission requirements with the use of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology, eliminating the need for a particulate filter or EGR valve.

This unique design, which only uses built-for-life-components, makes it maintenance-free and fuel-efficient. Cleverly designed engineering also enhances safety - eliminating the need for a Diesel Particulate Filter or extra cooling means the engine hood is more compact, resulting in superior rear visibility - an important safety consideration when working in a busy environment.

Other key features that make this model stand out in its class include a heavy-duty axle and unique CASE solutions for waste handling, such as the rear-mounted engine with increased bucket payload which provides ease of maintenance from ground level. The five-speed transmission and a torque converter lock-up, PROSHIFT, reduces cycle times and fuel consumption and enables operators to work at lower rpm, fully utilising the engine’s outstanding torque.

To counteract clogging caused by indoor handling of fertiliser or other materials there is CASE’s heavy cooling option, designed for use in extremely dusty conditions to reduce clean-out intervals and susceptibility to thermal events.

All CASE machines are designed and built with operator comfort and safety in mind and the F series range is no exception – offering class-leading comfort and visibility via a Quiet Cab, optional joystick steering, standard rear-view camera and floor-to-ceiling windows.

WX148 power and control

The WX range of wheeled excavators delivers productivity and precision. The extra-powerful hydraulics are managed by the CASE Intelligent Hydraulic System (CIHS) control which offers a single CPU for improved controllability and simplified diagnostics. They use a three-pump hydraulic system, with one pump dedicated to the slew function. This provides continuous movement and allows the operator to multifunction the controls for smooth, productive digging performance.

There are two working modes on the joystick which are easy to switch between and designed to better adapt the machine’s behaviour to specific tasks. The Standard Mode is suited for general applications and precision grading with maximum fuel savings, and Power Mode for maximising production and faster cycles. There is an automatic Powerboost function to deliver better performance for heavy breakout and lifting operations, and the Power Limit Control feature monitors the engine and hydraulic pumps to optimise power output.

Safety features on the WX includes a safe attachment operation. Boom cylinders feature safety valves as standard, and for added safety there is a complete object handling kit (safety valves on dipper, loading hook and overload warning). A heavy-duty holder for grabs is also available as an option. The reinforced structure of the cab is ROPS and FOPS certified.

Versatility and high performance from the TR320

CASE’s TR320 compact track loader combines industry-leading breakout and horse power, plus impressive tractive force. Benefiting from CEGR technology helps it meet Tier 4 interim emissions regulations while also increasing productivity, improving fuel efficiency, and increasing uptime. The dozer-style undercarriage and tracks provide maximum stability and power transfer to the ground. When it comes to digging, dozing, pushing and prying, this machine punches well above its weight!

A complete package from CASE

The CASE team will also be on hand to supply information on all the machines ranges, plus competitive finance solutions available and ProCare, an inclusive maintenance package solution offering three years’ extended coverage, cost control with planned maintenance, and easy fleet management with CASE Advanced SiteWatch™ system.
