Our goal is to provide a firm-fixed price (as a “Quote”) whenever possible. We shall provide an Estimate if the scope or schedule has yet to be defined—or if you want an idea of costs for budget building only.

Please refer to the following definitions in completing the RFS.

Date of Request: Date the RFS is submitted to SIE

Client/Org: Name of the Unit/Organization requesting SIE services. NOTE: if the recipient of the services is different from the requestor and/or funder, please include all parties.

Client Contact: Name of the primary Point of Contact (PoC); please include full name/title.

TEL: Telephone number for PoC. Include office and cellphone #s, if possible

Project: Official or working title of the project

Email: Email address for the PoC

Project Start Date: Earliest date that SIE’s service could start based on Client’s ability to deliver appropriate assets and acceptance of SIE’s proposal.

Project End Date: Desired end date for SIE’s service including any coordination with other non-SIE services or deadlines.

Opening Date: Official completion, ship or opening date for the project

Target $ Budget: Your available funds or preferred price range. NOTE: If SIE has a general sense of what you are willing/able to spend then we can better craft a scope of work as well as give you alternative approaches or deliverables to fit your budget.

Brief Project Description: Description of desired service. NOTE: if necessary, attach additional information (i.e. drawings, design packages, narrative write-ups).

Consultation: Advice on any aspect of exhibit design and production such as review of design docs, feasibility of production

Project Mgmt: Project management support such as contracting, schedule/budget tracking

Collections Mgmt: Support with collections management and registrarial requirements

Exhibit Development: Support with developing main messages and exhibit content

Writing/Editing: Scriptwriting, editing and proofreading of exhibits/collateral. NOTE: fact-checking, translations, and approvals are the responsibility of the Client.

Design (2D/3D): Architectural and graphic design of exhibits.

Comic Illustration: Comic illustration services for educational programming or exhibit graphics.

Graphic Production: Support such as graphic printing, mural installation and refurbishment

3D Scan/Printing: 3D scanning and/or printing

Matting/Framing: Matting and framing for exhibitions, including archival matting.

Models/Sculpting: Traditional model, mannequin and diorama making

Mount-making: Artifact brackets and mounts. NOTE: Client to provide display requirements, full artifact information and access to artifacts

Fabrication: Building of exhibit components such as casework, pedestals, panels

Installation Support: Installation of exhibit components based on approved, detailed plans.

ACS Frank: ACS Frank™ fabricated cases based on Client-supplied sizing and quantities.

Crating: Artifact and/or exhibit crating

Other: TBD
