|Ella sabe cocinar arroz con pollo. |It usually means met. |
|She knows how to cook chicken with rice. | |

|When saber is used in the preterit tense (past), it has a different meaning. It |Yesterday I met my brother’s girlfriend. |

▪ No conozco el barrio ni la calle donde vive Juan, pero yo sé como llegar a su casa.
I don’t know the neighborhood nor the street where Juan lives, but I know how to get to his house.

In Spanish there are two verbs that mean "to know." Saber is used for knowing facts, tasks, or information. Conocer is used to express familiarity with a person, place or thing. Using the present tense, fill in the blank with the appropriate verb saber or conocer.
