Christmas Gnomes Take Over

The Mira Hong Kong This Festive Season

2 November 2018, Hong Kong: ‘Tis the time to be merry as an army of cheeky little festive gnomes takes over the eclectic interiors of Hong Kong’s flagship Design Hotels’ property from 25 November. Inspired with the Scandinavian culture custom of leaving a sweet offering for the naughty creatures on Christmas Eve to ensure their helpful hand with the household chores and good fortune in the coming year, the gnomes - also known as “Tomte” or “Nisse” - will be welcoming Guests right from the striking hotel lobby entrance through all the award-winning restaurants and bars.

Mischievous little things is the theme of COCO’s festive afternoon tea starting from November while all the foodies may share joyous moments at Yamm featuring delightful roasts on its lunch and dinner buffets from 24 November onwards. Not to be missed festive brunches at WHISK brim with premium ingredients including the gourmet Sunday spread with French farmed sturgeon caviar and champagne on 23 December, followed by an equally lavish Christmas Day Brunch with Lavender & Honey Roasted Christmas Turkey, dreamy Yule Log cakes and Santa spreading the cheer.

Ring in the New Year at Yamm’s “Midnight Miracle” spectacular buffet with a live band, balloon drop at midnight and a magician performance, while WHISK serves a show-stopping dinner degustation menu inclusive of a free entry to Vibes’ countdown party. This year’s blockbuster New Year’s Eve bash at the popular open-air lounge bar takes you away to the enchanting world of “1001 Arabian Nights” with live DJs, open bar, LED dance floor and Arabic dance performance plus countdown to midnight by a live band.

But first things first, get X’mas gifts-ready with MiraSpa’s gorgeously scented festive gift sets from Aromatherapy Associates and Anne Semonin; or COCO’s creative chocolate stocking fillers, a gourmet hamper for business partners and family friends, and a Christmas Turkey take-away set for those who turned their ovens into a storage space.
