JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Embroidery Digitizing Artist

REPORTS TO: Embroidery Manager

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

DATE: 6/1/17

As an Embroidery Digitizing Artist, you make the 4imprint brand come alive by creating digitized designs suitable for embroidery on an array of apparel and specialty ad items, produce electronic proofs, and sample sew-outs as need for approval.

Here’s what a typical day might look like. Other duties may be assigned.

• Demonstrate the eight core principles that guide every 4imprint teammate on a daily basis: Honesty, Curiosity, Collaboration, Flexibility, Accountability, Empathy, Positive Attitude, Humility.

• Initial preparation of customer provided designs or copy

• Process digitizing orders through Electronic Artsheets

• Plan design for efficient embroidery production

• Digitize quality designs from provided artwork

• Edit existing designs to improve quality and productivity

• Communicate with CSR, OA, and Artist regarding embroidery applications

• Participate in training classes and actively seek professional development.

• Help out in other areas when needed and when time allows.

• Someone who can communicate effectively as well as work independently and as a team player.

• Computerized Graphic Art Experience

• Ability to work with deadlines

• Excellent organizational and scheduling skills

• Ability to problem solve

Required education/skills/experience:

Minimum two-year technical school degree in Graphic Arts or equivalent experience.

Demonstrated mastery of Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator.

Basic working knowledge of production art, garment decorating and terminology.

Knowledge of embroidery digitizing software and equipment is a plus.
