CONFESSIONS DURING LENT

Every Saturday from 3:15-3:45 PM

LENTEN REGULATIONS:

ASH WEDNESDAY AND GOOD FRIDAY: These are DAYS OF FAST and ABSTINENCE. Limit of one full meal on these days for all between the ages of 18 and 59 inclusive. These are also known as meatless days.

WEEKDAYS OF LENT: These days do not have any special obligations to fast. However, voluntary acts of self-denial are recommended.

LENTEN FRIDAYS: All Fridays in Lent are DAYS OF ABSTINENCE. All who have reached their 14th year are bound to abstain totally from meat.

LITTLE SISTERS OF THE POOR 5TH ANNUAL ST. PATRICK’S CELEBRATION AND DINNER

Sunday, March 11 from 12-4 p.m.

Proceeds will be used to purchase patient beds.

The event will be held at Holy Family Residence, 2500 Adams Ave, Scranton, located adjacent to Marywood University. The event will begin with Mass at 11:00am with a bagpipe processional and recessional in the chapel followed by the dinner and entertainment from 12-4pm in the auditorium. Menu includes ham and cabbage with potatoes, carrots, rolls and butter, vanilla ice cream with mint or chocolate syrup and beverages. Entertainment includes DJ Dr. Dragon and Irish step dancing by the Crossmolina School of Dance. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children 10 and younger. Call 570-343-4065 or go online at .
