SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

The students had fun dressing up during Spirit Week. Thanks for everyone’s participation this week.

Next Friday we will have our Valentine’s Day Party. A sign up genius has been set up to sign up for items which the class requested. The link is:

On Saturday, Feb. 21st students in grades 1-4 will be participating in a spelling bee at WISCO. This is the first year the younger grades have taken part in this activity. The students took a test of 50 words in January. From their scores, the spelling committee selects the students from various schools who are invited to participate. The students in fourth grade, who are invited to attend are:

Blake Wetzel, Luke Rodgers and Jonah Miller.

Those students should look for more information in their family folder.

Get Ready to Make a Splash!--Wisconsin Lutheran High School is inviting 4th and 6th grade students, on separate nights from 5:30-7:30 pm, to a fun evening of waterslides and swimming at Country Springs Waterpark Hotel in Pewaukee.   There is no cost, however at least one parent must attend with their child.  The children will swim and the parents will learn more about WLHS. 4th grade students are invited on Monday, March 2, and must RSVP by Monday, February 23. 6th grade students are invited on Monday, March 9, and must RSVP by Monday, March 2.To RSVP, e-mail mark.ricke@ or call 414-453-4567 ex.2024.

Science- We will continue our exploration of space as we look at what makes each planet unique.

Soc. St – We will explore Iran and Iraq. We will also spend several days looking at Wisconsin today.

English/Writing – We will continue our unit on adjectives. In Writing we will continue with research for our state research papers.

Math- We will begin Unit 6 which works with decimals. On Mondays and Thursdays most students will be given sheets marked Extra Math Practice. These come from areas that needed extra work from our reviews. These sheets require a parent signature.

Reading- We will present our book projects on Monday and then begin our next group novel, The Word Eater. We will do a variety of comprehension and vocabulary activities with this book.

Word of God – We will study the lessons of Jesus Raising Lazarus from the Dead and Zaccheus.
