1. inert- inactive, sluggish
2. crevice- a crack forming an opening

6. lull- to cause to sleep of rest; temporary period of calm
7. douse- wet thoroughly or drench
8. raze- to level to the ground; tear down or demolish
9. paltry- insignificant; of little value
10. derelict- rundown and abandoned; negligent
11. oracle- giver of wisdom, or the wisdom given; a person (such as a priestess of ancient Greece) through whom the gods speak
12. orator- a public speaker, especially one who is eloquent or skilled
13. oratory- a small chapel, especially for private worship; a room for meditation
14. orally- uttered by the mouth; of, relating to or near the mouth

• Pioneer project selection is compete. If you child did not turn in a project selection or their selection was already taken I have assigned a project to them.
• This information is coming home this week. The project is due on Monday, January 15th
• This is NO December book report
• December 15th LAST DAY to turn in missing or corrected work
• December 21st Last Day before Break 6 AR points due
• December 22nd- NO SCHOOL
• January 8th – School resumes
