5 Founding Ideals Collage Project

Intro: There are five founding ideals that I believe are inherent to the creation of the United States. Our founding fathers used these words and ideals to justify a revolution and in crafting a constitution for the nation born of it. We will use these ideals throughout the year to analyze the ways in which the U.S. has both upheld and abandoned them throughout its history.

Directions: With a partner you will design a collage on one of the ideals. Mr. McMurray will print and hang these in the room to give us some ownership of the space and for reference throughout the year. Your collage must...

? Include the name of the ideal, either in a pic or text, and in a conspicuous size.

? Have 5 pictures representing the ideal and its manifestation in American society.

? Must include one quote either in a pic or in text that epitomizes or symbolizes the ideal.

? Be done using , saved to your Google drive, and shared with Mr. McMurray.

? Be creative and a result of genuine collaboration.

Due Date and Scoring: The project is due Tuesday, August 25 by the beginning of class. Meaning if you have more to do, you will need to create a befunky account so that you can save your work and delegate work between the two of you for Monday night. This is worth 5 points.
