• World’s Finest Chocolate Sales begin next week, sponsored by our Student Council! Look for flyers and ordering information going home next week! All chocolate bars are $1.00 and KTA receives 40-50 cents per bar!! Money raised from this sale goes directly towards purchasing the Spirit Shirts all students receive to wear on Fridays for the 2015-16 school year!

• “Bag the Bench” recycling program is beginning on Monday Feb 2! Sponsored by the East Valley Recycling Alliance, this is a program for Chandler schools where we collect and turn in plastic bags of all types for recycling. Acceptable bags include: grocery bags, department store bags, dry cleaning bags, bread bags, sandwich bags and shrink wrap (ex around cases of bottled water). All items must be clean and dry, without food or receipts. Please begin to send in bags with your child next week!!! We can win a really cool recycled bench! All participating schools will receive a recycled material planter which we are going to put in our SLUG garden!!

• Jump Rope for Heart is underway! Please go online to sponsor your student in this worthwhile activity to raise money for the Heart Association! See the information sent home to each student in the past week or so.
