Getting Started

It is better to change your current eating habits a little more slowly to give your body time to adjust to change:

✓ Continue to drink your coffee/tea as usual. If you use milk and /or sugar in your coffee/tea, continue to do that too.

✓ If you drink alcohol, have a little less.

✓ Eat what you usually eat – just cut back on the amount of food you eat.

This program is very nutritious and satisfying. By the third or fourth day, most people find they are cutting back naturally on the amount of the food they eat.

When starting a nutritional program, it takes at least 24 hours to begin any detoxification process. Your body needs time to adjust while cleansing itself of toxins and impurities. Most people feel fantastic from the day they start the program, although a few may experience a brief period of minor adjustment if their bodies cannot clear the toxins fast enough. This is normal for some people and it only lasts a short time. We suggest that you consume an extra glass of Herbal-Aloe and plenty of water to help you through this temporary situation.

To get the results you want, all you have to do is…

✓ Make your shakes properly.

✓ Take your shakes as directed.

✓ Take all 3 sets of your tablets.

✓ Drink your Thermojetics tea.

✓ Drink your Herbal-Aloe.

Helpful Hints

Used as directed for weight loss, the program will last about 30 days. If using 3 shakes daily, you will use about 2 cans of Formula 1 per month.

For even more effective and specific results, ask us which products can be increased. You cannot overdose – these are health food.

Increase your water intake to enhance the effectiveness of the program.

You can take your tablets before, with, or after your meals or Formula 1 shakes (just be aware that for some people taking vitamins on an empty stomach could cause them to feel a little queasy, especially in the morning). If you forget to take your tablets, take them when you remember. The important thing is that you take all 3 sets of your tablets every day – no matter what.

If you wish to enhance your results, we suggest a couple of minor variations:

➢ If you are on weight loss, try to have your main meal tablets about ½ to 1 hour before you eat the food you love.

➢ If you are on weight gain, try to have your tablets after your main meal and use the shakes as dessert.

This program can be used to lose weight, gain weight or as a health maintenance program. We will monitor your progress to help you achieve your desired results.

Lose Weight

✓ Take your tablets 3 times every day.

✓ Take 2 shakes every day to replace any 2 meals (see recipes/hints p 6-8)

✓ Eat 1 meal every day (breakfast, lunch or dinner). Eat the food you like for that meal, just cut back on the amount of food you eat. Cut back, don’t cut out the food you like.

Gain Weight

✓ Eat 3 normal meals every day.

✓ Take your tablets 3 times every day (after your meals)

✓ Take 3 shakes every day (as dessert)

✓ You can jazz up your shakes with lots of fruit, ice cream, honey, etc.

Maintain Weight

There are many reasons to go on a health maintenance program. You may want to feel better and have more energy, tone up and look better or simply stay at a particular shape and size, especially after losing or gaining weight. Losing or gaining weight is a major accomplishment but losing and keeping it off or gaining and keeping it on is another issue.

After losing or gaining weight, your body needs time to adjust to its new weight, shape and size. If you want to keep your weight under control, it is advisable to continue using the program for maintenance while your body settles down and re-adjusts.

The length of time you stay on a maintenance program is entirely up to you. We suggest that you stay on maintenance for at least as long as it took you to lose or gain the weight. For example, if it took 2 months to lose your weight, we suggest you stay on maintenance for at least another 2 months.

Some people feel and look so great they make the commitment to themselves to stay on the products long term. It is, of course, a very personal issue, which only you can decide.

We will tailor a maintenance program to suit you and then adjust it as required. If you have just lost weight, most people find a simple variation of the following maintenance program works very well:

✓ Take your tablets 3 times every day.

✓ Take 1 shake every day to replace any 1 meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner).

✓ Eat 2 meals every day.

If your weight or size changes slightly, go back to weight loss for a couple of days.

If you have very little time each morning, you can prepare your product the night before. Just take a couple of minutes each evening to set up your tablet box, pre-mix your shakes in a jar with a screw lid and put into the fridge. Next morning, have your shake and tablets, and pop your shake/s and tablet box in your bag and you are ready for the day. Ask about our medium & large size tablet boxes. The program starts working when you start consuming.

Formula 1 Shakes

We think of this program as a nutritional support system and the Formula 1 Shake is an essential part of this program. Shakes are highly nutritious and very satisfying. They can be prepared to suit your particular taste – sweet or savory, hot or cold, drink or chew.

Prepare a Shake: mix 2 level dessertspoons of Formula 1 powder in any beverage or a small amount of food. Level off the dessertspoons – do not pack down or drag up the side of the can. It is better to use a bit more of Formula 1 rather than using too little. For the best results, mix Formula 1 in a glass of your favorite juice.

Methods of preparation:

❑ Shakes: Put all your ingredients into a jar or any container with a tight lid and shake vigorously until completely mixed.

❑ Blend: Put all your ingredients into a blender, and blend until smooth.

❑ Stir: You can prepare your shakes by putting Formula 1 into a glass of beverage and stir with a fork. While this method is fast and simple, your shakes will taste even better if you shake them in a jar or blend them in a blender.

General Notes:

➢ A dessert spoon is about the size of a soup spoon with a point.

➢ A glass or mug holds about 250ml.

➢ If you don’t drink milk now, continue to avoid it because milk can cause problems for a large percentage of the population who are unable to digest it.

Mix Formula 1 in almost anything:

✓ 250 ml. Fruit juice, cordial or skim milk

✓ 250 ml. Soy milk – this mixture tends to be thick & creamy so you may prefer to dilute it with water and/or Aloe by using 125 ml. Soy milk & 125 ml. Water/Aloe.

✓ 200g yoghurt or fruche

✓ 1-cup diet ice cream

✓ ½ cup of canned fruit salad

✓ Low salt Trim Soups such as tomato, chicken, pumpkin, etc.

When using the product for weight loss, we suggest using low fat, non-fat or diet ‘light’ products whenever possible.

Shakes can be prepared either hot or cold. Formula 1 should never been boiled, baked or microwaved as it will lose some of its nutritional value. When preparing a ‘hot’ shake, we suggest that you prepare the hot liquid first, the let it cool slightly or add a little cold water before adding Formula 1. Herbal Aloe should never be heated.

Try your own combinations to make your shakes delicious and fun. Avoid mixing your shakes in water because it is important to make your shakes tasty and enjoyable.

Fruit Suggestions

You can blend your favorite fruit into any Formula 1 Shake – here are some suggestions:

✓ 1 kiwi, small apple, orange or peach

✓ ¼ small banana

✓ ¼ cup canned fruit

✓ ½ cup fresh fruit such as mango, pears, strawberries, pineapple, apricots, etc.

✓ 1 cup diced watermelon or rockmelon

If you are feeling hungry, especially the first 3 or 4 days on the program, it’s because you are losing fat. We suggest you have a small snack:

✓ Have another shake – more shake is always better than more food.

✓ A small piece of fruit, toast or crisp bread

This program is very nutritious and satisfying. By the third or fourth day you will find yourself cutting back naturally because the program is helping to control your appetite and cravings.

If you lead a very busy life, your body requires more nutrition. We suggest that you have an extra shake every day. This extra shake will give you more nutrition and less calories than the snack you would normally consume. This extra shake will help you achieve your goals a lot faster and healthier than the chocolate bar you would probably prefer. Stay focused on your goals.

If you are over 100kg, your body requires more nutrition to keep your weight under control. We suggest:

✓ 1 or 2 extra shakes every day.

✓ 2 Formula 4’s three times every day.

If you can’t take tablets – crush them up (ask about our new tablet crusher) and mix into a little honey or mashed banana or even in some ice cream with a few 100’s & 1000’s to disguise crunchy bits.

There is no secret to losing weight; it’s simply a matter of consuming fewer calories. The difference with our program is that you are getting good nutrition while you are consuming fewer calories.

Herbal – Aloe

To enhance the effectiveness of the program we suggest you drink 2 or 3 glasses of Herbal-Aloe each day. Add it to your shakes or drink on its own. You can also add a little fruit juice or cordial for taste. Aloe should never be heated.

Thermojetics

To prepare a Thermojetics Instant Herbal beverage, mix 1 teaspoon in about 180 ml. of hot or cold water. Flavour to your personal taste with milk and honey or sugar just as you would a cup of tea or coffee. You can also mix the beverage with herbal teas, fruit juice, soft drinks, cordials, etc. Carbonated soft drinks tend to “fizz-up” when you add the instant beverage. To avoid this, we suggest that you use a small amount of liquid to dissolve the beverage and then add the rest of the liquid slowly.

Thermo suggestions:

✓ Try a thermo first thing in the morning.

✓ Have a glass of water after your thermo; it seems to enhance its effectiveness.

✓ You can have 2 to 4 beverages daily depending on your individual taste.

✓ Try your other thermos about 10 am and 3 pm depending on your schedule.

You can also premix your beverages and sip on them during the day.
