Use this Section to specify requirements for industrial air circuit breaker distribution centres for projects where the ampacity of the building service is:

.1 1200 Amperes or larger at 120/208/240 volts,

.2 800 Amperes or larger at 277/480 volts,

.3 800 Amperes or larger at 347/600 volts.

Where fault levels at service entrance are in excess of 50,000 Amperes symmetrical, fuses may be required for current limiting.

Include Section 26 27 13 - Utility Metering when this Section is used.

.2 Tighten electrical connectors and terminals, including screws and bolts, in accordance with equipment manufacturer's published torque tightening values.

.3 Connect main service entrance cable(s) to line bus stubs in main breaker cubicle.

.4 Connect loads to feeder breakers as specified in Distribution Centre Schedules.

.5 Adjust operating mechanisms for free mechanical movement.

.6 Touch-up scratched or marred surfaces to match original finish.

.7 Breaker sizes and identification as specified in Distribution Centre Schedules.

3.2 TESTING

.1 COMPLY WITH REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 26 08 10.
