Neutral to either HOT = 120V giving two separate legs @ 120V 50A each

HOT to HOT = 240V This option is NOT used in any trailer that I know. It is used for the 240V electric dryer and kitchen range/oven in your stick home.

When you use a 30/50 Amp pigtail to connect to a 50 Amp camper, the two hot connections are joined at the 50Amp end of the pigtail. You can verify this using a VOM and verify continuity between the hot at the 30 Amp end and the hots at the 50 Amp end. Also you can verify continuity between the two hots at the 50 Amp end.
