Key Ingredients Pavilion

TMY 2010 will host the kick-off to the Smithsonian Institutions’ Key Ingredients: America by Food traveling exhibition coming to Southern Arizona. In collaboration with the Arizona Humanities Council, we will create a pavilion and kitchen stadium where cooks, chefs, food writers and Southern Arizona museums hosting the Key Ingredients exhibit in 2010-11 will demonstrate, display and engage. The Key Ingredients Pavilion investigates how culture, ethnicity, landscape, and tradition influence foods and flavors we enjoy across the nation. Our recipes, menus, ceremonies, etiquette, and even our fast food are directly affected by our country’s rich immigrant experience, the history and innovations of food preparation technology, and the ever-changing availability of key ingredients.

Key Ingredients Food & Recipe demonstrations: Can you or someone in your club, community or family demonstrate how to prepare a traditional food or recipe or a ceremony or etiquette surrounding food? If YES, describe your food or recipe or ceremony here. You will be contacted to schedule a time for your presentation at the Food Pavilion. Cooks must supply their own ingredients. All cooking utensils, gas burner, refrigerator supplied by TMY.

| YES – I (or someone from my organization) wish to be considered to demonstrate in the Key Ingredients Pavilion. (describe your recipe or |
