Vendo Park in Łask opens with new brands making debut in city

Mülheim an der Ruhr / Warsaw, 28 November 2019 – Trei Real Estate, an international property developer and asset holder of retail and residential real estate, continues to implement its business development strategy in Poland and expand its portfolio of retail real estate. The investor has just opened Vendo Park in Łask, which is Trei’s fourteenth Polish retail park under its Vendo Park brand. The property is 100% commercialized, with all brands making their debut in the city.

Tenants include Top Secret and Sinsay clothing brands as well as a Martes Sport sports store. The Vendo Park offer is also supplemented by the Hebe drugstore, Neonet which sells consumer electronics, as well as Action and KiK which both offer textiles and interior decoration. The retail park in Łask, whose construction began in May, has a total of 4,500 sqm of modern retail space. The project's construction cost was over EUR 5.3 million.

“Vendo Park in Łask attracted a great deal of interest from tenants. This was reflected by the fact that when we started construction, 90% of the space had already been leased. Seven new stores have opened and we are extremely happy that these are brands that have never had a store in the city before. We want our project to be a local shopping destination and provide a comprehensive retail range. The retail park in Łask also shows the success of this format on the Polish market - until recently, clothing chains were present only in large shopping centers in the largest Polish metropolitan areas. But now they are more often deciding to expand in smaller projects located in towns with under 30,000 residents”, comments Jacek Wesołowski, Managing Director of Trei Real Estate Poland.

Vendo Park is just the beginning of Trei's investment in Łask. On the plot of over 2.6 ha, the developer will construct a building for a McDonald's restaurant, which is scheduled to open in 2021. A Lidl supermarket will also be built right next to the retail park, and will open in April of next year. Vendo Park is equipped with a large parking lot that has 130 parking spaces, with the whole investment after the opening of Lidl providing over 260 parking spaces. This is the fourth retail park developed by Trei in the Łódź Voivodeship. Previously the investor had opened one Vendo Park in Skierniewice, and two in Łódź.

This year Trei is still planning to open another Vendo Park in Kobyłka. A retail park in Płock and Jawor are already under construction and are both scheduled to open next year.

“This year we will start the construction of retail parks in Częstochowa and Solec Kujawski. Our strategy assumes the opening of seven Vendo Parks next year, while across Europe we are striving to build a portfolio of 50 retail properties”, adds Jacek Wesołowski.

Trei currently owns 23 Vendo Parks located in Europe, including fourteen in Poland. The company is not only a developer, but also independently manages Vendo Parks.
