The presenter is someone living with a mental illness or someone who is a family member of someone living with a mental illness. Mental Health Chat includes an introduction to NAMI and a brief description of mental illness, reading a book about feelings/moods, an interactive activity on mental illness, and a relaxation exercise using GoNoodle.Youth Mental Illness 101 (50 minutes)—This presentation, designed for high school students, provides an overview of mental health challenges specific to teens, their incidence and biological basis, treatment and recovery, the adverse effect of stigma, and the importance of advocacy.Adult ProgramsCompassion Resilience (time varies)—This workshop offers information, resources and activities for organizational leadership and staffs to help them understand, recognize and minimize the experience of compassion fatigue, as well as to increase compassion resilience perspectives and skills.
