Students are also, required to read 4-AR books in Reading each grading period. Parents if you would like to pick a book for your child feel free to so. The AR-reading level should be on 5th or 6th grade and worth 5 points or more. There is a short book summary form for them to fill out and return to me. They are also required to make a 70 or above on the AR-test. The book summary and the AR-test will be average as one grade. We will have weekly tests on the Reading Street story along with worksheets, weekly tests, and unit test these tests are 75% of the students reading grade. There will be reading homework on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, tests on Friday.

Section quizzes will be given weekly as well as an end of the chapter test. Map assignments every six weeks. Twice monthly students will read and be graded on the Junior Scholastic. Each student will complete a state report. This report will be count as two test grades. The completed project is due on March 15, 2011.

Science/Health-The states requires AIDS awareness is to be taught for 5-hours, Bullying Curriculum & Life Skills

AMSTI Science-Your child will receive grades on their notebooks, participation through experimenting in groups, and tests. Their notebooks and textbooks will stay at school. If you would like to see what the 6th grade Pollard McCall Wolves are working on in Science fill free to come by during class or after class to see.

AMSTI has furnished the class with all the supplies we will need for Catastrophic Events.
