We may also upload important documents or links to help students complete homework or assignments. As an MNPS student, your child has access to Office365, which includes email and OneDrive among other useful apps. Students can access their accounts from any computer—they do not need to be on the MNPS network or at school. Students may use email throughout the year to communicate with peers and their teachers, and may also use OneDrive to turn in assignments, share documents for editing, and save their work. We will demonstrate to students how to access and use Office365 during the first week of school, but please don’t hesitate to reach out if at any point you need help.Login instructions:login.username: studentname@ (example: Harry Potter would be harrypotter@. Each infraction will result in the following interventions:Verbal warning and tallyStudent and teacher hallway conference and tallyBreak time in another classroom with parent e-mail and tallyParent phone call/conference and tallyOffice referralStudents will have the opportunity to earn positive tallies (which cancel out any negative tallies they may have received) during class time and during each of the intervention steps listed above. All behaviors follow the West End Discipline Matrix. Rewards:0-5 tally marks for the week will earn the student participation in “Thank You Thursday,” a reward recess at the end of the day on Thursdays. For the 9 weeks, students that have earned 8 out of 9 Thank You Thursdays will be able to participate in a grade level reward.Example Negative Behaviors:TardyNon-ComplianceDistracting OthersGum/ Unapproved FoodsArgumentativeAggressive ResponseSSABook bagsOff – taskDisruptive BehaviorsProfanityMissing Materials and HWHOMEWORK:Assignments will be posted in the room and the students are encouraged to write items down in their school issued handbooks. Homework will aid in the educational process and reinforce skills, standards, and objectives needed to be successful on the formal assessments (tests/quizzes/reports/projects).SNACKS:Students will be able to bring in a snack to eat during their academic blocks. The only beverage they are allowed to drink in class is water. No flavor packets are allowed. The food they can snack on must be a FRESH fruit or vegetable.
