To be prepared for class, you will need:

• Student Agenda

• Pens and pencils

• 1½’’ 3-ring binder containing college-ruled notebook paper

• A two-pocket, three-hole punched durable folder

• Highlighter

• Textbook – when distributed (late October)

Organization

• Notebook should be kept organized and in chronological order.

o I will provide you with a Table of Contents

o All notebooks will be collected and graded according to rubric.

• Use your agendas to record routine homework assignments and reminders about quizzes, tests, projects, and long-term assignments.

• Use the proper Team Mosaic heading for all assignments:

Formative Assessments – 20%

Habits of Mind – 20%

Independent Practice – 20%

Summative Assessments – 40%

Absences/Late Work:

• If you are absent…On the day you return from an absence, when you arrive to class check the absent folder which contains the handouts missed. If there are any questions beyond this folder, speak with me before class begins, after class, at lunch, or after school.

• If you are in school, but miss a class…you are responsible to turn in the work that was due on that day, and complete all class work and/or homework.

• Late work…

• One day late = -20pts

• Any time before end of marking period = -35pts

• Not at all = 50%

***It is your responsibility to turn in any missing work or arrange to take a missed quiz or test*** I will not ask you for your late work. Making up work and showing it to me is YOUR responsibility!
