Revolution Cake Recipe Activity

World War I Cake Recipe ActivityDue Date: Your job, as “chef,” is to come up with a recipe for a “World War I Cake.” Instructions:1) Read your textbook (ch 13), notes and any other resources. 2) Come up with a list of the top 10 causes of WWI, along with an explanation of how each event or person helped caused WWI. Rank them in order of importance. Below are some possible suggestions.3) Using these rankings, list the causes to form a list of ingredients in a recipe. You must have at least 10 ingredients. 4) Assign measurements in accordance to your rankings. In other words, bigger measurements should be assigned to those causes, which you believe are most important to the beginning of World War I.5) Describe how you would mix the ingredients in order to create “World War One Cake.” You may be creative, straightforward, funny, serious, etc. but you should include all the ingredients you listed. 6) Lastly, the presentation of the recipe should be on a big sheet of paper – again, in a creative manner.EXAMPLE: Many elements go into making a revolution just like many ingredients go into making a cake. For instance, the following could be a “recipe” for the English Civil War:Whigs and Tories Casserole1 cup of religious conflict4 lbs of taxation without consent of Parliament3 cups of “divine right”2 tablespoons of Scottish invasion4 ozs of Oliver CromwellMix religious conflict with taxation without consent of Parliament in large mixing bowl. Gradually stir in “divine right” and let it sit for 20 years. When the mixture has begun to spill over the top of the bowl, add 2 tablespoons of Scottish invasion. Stand Back!! When the mixture has stopped boiling, add 4 ozs of Oliver Cromwell. Mixture will explode but will eventually come under control. Serve with healthy portions of constitutionality. Serves the people.
