WILDERNESS HUNT PERSONAL ITEMS LIST

___Hunting License: Please also bring a picture I.D. with you.

___Conservation Stamp: Can be purchased locally you arrive.

___Rifle: 30.06, .270, .280, .300 Winchester Magnum, and 7mm Magnum. We don't like

automatics. Practice Shooting as much as possible before your hunt. If possible, site in 200- 300 yards; be comfortable to 500 yards.

___Ammo: Three boxes are plenty. If you think you need more, spend more time at the shooting range.

___Sleeping Bag & Pillow: We like the Hallo-fill type rated to at least -20. Down is good. We furnish cots and foam pads.

• Not necessary for the Ranch hunts.*

___Field Glasses: 7x35 or more powerful.

___Hunting Knife

___Hat: For protection and warmth.

___Alarm Clock

___Small Flashlight or Head lamp

___Camera

___Shirts: Two wool and two cotton.

___Socks: Four heavy and four light.

___Toilet Kit: Include a chapstick and sun screen.

___Handkerchief

___Hunting Coat and Rain gear: gortex is best

___Sun Glasses

___Zippo Lighter

___Liquor: We don't do any heavy drinking, but an evening drink goes well after a hard day hunting.

___Flash Orange

___Boots: Waterproof hunting boots

___Gloves: One leather pair and a couple pair of cotton work gloves.

___Moccasins: Or comfortable shoes to wear around camp.

___Pants: Blue jeans or wool pants.

___Long Underware: Two pairs.

___Plastic Bag: Handy to have for dirty clothes.

___Duffle Bag: Army style or side zipper type are best. We prefer to see two 35# duffle bags rather

than one large bag.

___Towel and Wash Cloth

___Pen: to sign game tag in the field

___Water Bottle

___Game Bags

___Bear Spray: This will have to be bought in Cody if you are flying as it is a forbidden substance

on a plane.

___Ibuprofen, Tylenol or Aleve
