• Class Materials: Spiral notebook or binder, red pen, pencils (pen is not allowed), and a ruler (optional). The school provides rulers, and calculators. But, because you will need these items to complete homework, you should purchase these items for home use.

• Classroom Procedures: Enter classroom; get out required materials (homework, supplies, and agenda book) copy down your homework from the board and complete the daily drill.

• Homework: Homework provides the practice and reflection time essential in learning and remembering math. Unless told otherwise, homework is due the next time you have class. Assignments will be posted on my website:

plopiano.

• Absentee Policy: It is your responsibility to get any class or homework assignment that you missed. PLEASE CHECK THE WEBSITE. If you were absent you will have 2 days after returning to make up missed assignments. If you are going on a field trip, get the class and homework assignments posted on the website beforehand and turn in the homework assignment on the due date.

If you missed class due to a pull-out, homework is due the same day it is assigned.

It is your responsibility to get the homework from a friend or the web-site.

• Grading Policy: The Math Department policy is: 10% Homework; 30% Class work; 25% Quizzes; and 35% Tests.
