Hoaglin was born in Maple Grove, MN, she spent her youth moving throughout the central United States, and concluded her formative years just outside of Chicago, IL where she won the city-wide Golden Gloves Flyweight Championship. LTC Hoaglin began her military career in 2000, enlisting into the Army’s Signal Corps and was assigned to 51st Signal Battalion, 35th Signal Brigade (Airborne) Fort Bragg, NC (2000-2002). She then transitioned to the Army officer corps via the Green to Gold and the Reserve Officer Training Corps programs (2003-2005) graduating as a Distinguished Military Graduate from Campbell University and commissioning as an Adjutant Generals Corp Officer. LTC Hoaglin has served in a variety of assignments to include: Battalion S-1, 82d Personnel Service Battalion and 4th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 82d Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, NC (2005-2006); Plans and Personnel Officer, Deputy G-1 and Strength Manager, Division G-1, 82d Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, NC (2006-2009); Chief Strength Manpower Division, Combined Joint Task Force-82, Regional Command East, Bagram, Afghanistan (2009-2010); Chief Enlisted Strength Management Branch, G-1, United States Army Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, NC (2010-2012); Commander, Alpha Company, Special Troops Battalion, United States Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, Fort Bragg, NC (2012-2013); Brigade S-1, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, NC (2013-2014); Chief, Human Resource Operations Cell, and Deputy G-1, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, CO (2015-2017); and the J1 Director, Joint Interagency Task Force – National Capital Region, Washington, DC (2017-2019).Currently LTC Hoaglin is assigned as the Professor of Military Science, University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, Minneapolis, MN.Her civilian and military education includes completion of the Adjutants General Officers' Basic Course, Adjutants General Captain Career Course, Jumpmaster School, Command and General Staff College, the Brigade S-1 Course, the Joint Special Operations University Creative Problem Solving Course, the Common Faculty Development Instructor Course, and the University Senior Leader Course. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Campbell University, Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Webster University, and a Senior Professional in Human Resource (SPHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute.Awards and decorations received by LTC Hoaglin include Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Metal, Meritorious Service Metal (with 3 oak leaf clusters), Joint Service Accommodation Metal, Army Commendation metal (with 3 oak leaf clusters), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Metal (with 2 oak leaf clusters), National Defense Service Medal, Afghan Campaign Medal (2 campaign stars), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, NATO Service Medal, Basic Parachutist Badge, a Meritorious Unit Citation, and Canadian, Chilean, and German Basic Parachutist Badges.
