Participation: Please participate in class. It can be very boring for both you and me if I am the only person that ever speaks. Your participation is key to making this subject relevant to you and your classmates. You will be asked to participate in the following ways:

1. Participate in class discussion. Your opinion counts. You do not have to agree with me, the text or the writers of history. I expect you to speak your mind in an orderly and respectful fashion.

2. Ask questions. If you do not understand or want more information, ask. We will find the answer.

3. Listen to your classmates. Other opinions may give you a chance to see a subject from a different point of view.

Please note that all discussion and questions should add something significant to the topic at hand. Though I expect to have lively discussions in this course, personal attacks of any kind are not acceptable. Students who engage in personal attacks will be subject to disciplinary action:

COURSE POLICIES:

Plagiarism & Academic Dishonesty: *Plagiarism is stealing or passing off as one's own, ideas or words of another, whether or not copyrighted.
