History Fair: Congratulations and good luck to 9 of our 7th Grade students who will compete at the Regional History Fair at NIU on Saturday, February 27th!! Congratulations to: Beau Gerber, Brady Hurst, Grace Stachowiak, Adam Sarabia, Ashley Urbanski, Mia Mazzorana, Lucy Kleczewski, Lauren Phillips and Caroline Moskalewicz.

HyVee Days: Thank you to our wonderful families for making TCA’s HyVee Days the best one our school has had to date. We received a check for $428.16!! The money will go into our PTSA account and will be used towards advertising our great school!!

Parent Ambassadors: The diocese requested all catholic schools to come up with a Parent Ambassador group to work on marketing our school. We are very excited about TCA’s energetic group of Parent Ambassadors: Wendy Lauer, Crystal Repsel, Jackie Thompson, Tara Duncan, Amy Koehler, Leah Inman, and Madonna Duncan

TCA Participating in St. Patrick’s Day Parade: Come march in La Salle's Annual Irish Family Fun Day Parade on Saturday, March 12th!  All students PreK-8th grade and their families are welcome to march with our TCA group.  Line up begins at 12:00pm behind the Knights of Columbus Hall and the parade starts at 1:00pm.  Be sure to wear your Spirit wear or a school colored top (burgundy, grey, white or navy) but jeans are fine.  Parent volunteers will have wagons with beads and goody bags to hand out to parade watchers. If your family is willing to donate a bag or two of candy for the goody bags, please send them into the school before 3/8/16.

Lollipop Sale: It is that time of year again!! Help our 7th & 8th graders earn money for their end of the year trip!! Lollipops are $1.00 each and our 7th & 8th graders will start selling them Monday, February 22nd.

Fundraising:

Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner: Our Annual St. Patrick’s Day Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner is Thursday, March 17th. Come out to the best Corned Beef in town!! Cost is $12.00 per plate and includes: Corned Beef, Cabbage, Potatoes, Carrots, Bread & Butter, Drink & Dessert. Hot Dog or BBQ Plate will be offered for $4.00. Carry-out available. Basket Raffles, 50/50 and Early Bird Drawing for TCA cash raffle for $1,000

Trivia Night and Silent Auction: Join the fun at our annual Trivia Night and Silent Auction on Saturday, April 16th. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and Trivia begins at 6:30 sharp. Food and alcohol will be served. If you would like to reserve a table, please contact Abby Pyszka at 815-481-8107 or at apyszka@. The cost is $10.00 per person with 10 players per tqable. There will be many great raffles and auction items!!

TCA Annual Cash Raffle: Our Annual Cash Raffle is ongoing through the school year. The next early bird drawing will be at the Corned Beef Dinner on March 17th. The final drawing will be held at thee our Trivia Night on April 16th. Every TCA family is responsible for selling raffle tickets: Pre-school families = 6 tickets; Kinder through 8th grade families = 10 tickets. If you have any question regarding how many raffle tickets you sold to date, contact Esmeralda DeLaTorre at edelatorre@.

PTSA:

Spirit Wear: Our online store should be up and running!! Starting the 1st Friday of March and the 1st Friday thereafter we will have $1.00 Spirit Wear Days!!

Box Tops: Thank you for continuing to support our Box Tops program. We are having a great year. If you have Box Tops, please send them to school no later than Tuesday, Feb. 16 so that we can include them in the next submission. 

Garage Sale 2016:  We will be having our spring Garage Sale on Saturday, April 23rd.   Due to limited storage availability, we will have set drop off dates and times closer to this event.

Target Visa:  We have received notice that Target will no longer offer their Take Charge of Education program which donated a percentage of money spent when using their Target Visa.  It will work through May 14, 2016 so please continue to use it as much as possible until then.
