To specifically audition for a male role, please prepare PRINCE CHARMING.To specifically audition for a female role, please prepare CINDERELLA. To be considered for both, please prepare SOLDIER 3. Note: if you audition with the neutral monologue, please note on your audition application which (if any) gender you would prefer to play. Refer to the character list on the next page for role gender information.SOLDIER 3: Allow me to read from my sermon on love. ...It's an emergency sermon. (He clears his throat.) Marriage. Love. True love. When I think of marriage, I'm reminded of my best friend Barney. He was such a happy guy. Before. You should've seen him. Running around. Laughing. Joking. Making rude noises with his hand in his armpit. Kinda sounded like someone passing gas, but it was really just him squeezing his hand in there. It was... it changed my life. He changed my life. So talented. And then he got married. (He starts to tear up.) I saw Barney about three years later and I said Barney - do the thing and he said... I'm sorry I'm having a hard time continuing this story - give me a second - he said he couldn't make the farting noise anymore because she didn't think it was worthy of him. I hate that woman. It's like she took an angel and she tore off his wings. Rip. No more armpit noise. So I said, "who are you?" and he said, "I don't know man... I don't know." (He gestures to CHARMING and ELLIE.) So now you two are gonna do it. Who cares? Whatever. I can't stop ya. Do you? ...Do you? ...All right, you're married.PRINCE CHARMING: ...So, Ellie, you realize my - oh wait. (He takes out a [third] piece of parchment.) Here we go. By now my plan is only dimply visible to you. Who is my enemy? Why are they trying to kill me? These are the questions that will still be going through your head tomorrow, as your body hangs from the gallows. Now, you might just think that you're pure of heart and that will save you. Oh no, my dear. Pure of heart saves no one. You see, your two sisters believe that the crown exists for them, but they're going to be in for such a shock when they realize it's their husband who will wield the power. And if they aren't willing to share, will, I've got plans for that too. After the wedding there will of course be many, many sad people. But that's who the game is played, isn't it? Enjoy your time in the darkness. (He looks at his paper again.) And then I put some space in here for improv-ing a few lines if I felt like it. But I'm just going to practice my smug evil laugh. Heh hehhehheh. Your head's going to be very pretty on a spike. It'll be the cutest one since I put Snow White's up there.CINDERELLA: I'm Cinderella and we've been axiously awaiting your arrival! Oh my gosh let me look at you! You are so pretty! Just so pretty, just so so pretty. I love this bow thing that you're doing. Gosh. Mm. You are going to have no shortage of princes after this package, let me tell you that much. They pretty much fall in love at first sight around here. ...I just wanted to let you know something though, if you see Prince Charming - HE'S MINE. Ha hahaha! Seriously, though, we're all sisters here and I will put venomous snakes in your bed at night if you so much as look at him. Okay? Okay! Let's be friends! Also - just an FYI - trust no one. (She claps her hands.) Servants! Snow White needs some help out here! Servants! (No one enters.) They must be on lunch break or something. That's okay a little torture will get them back to work.Character NameGenderRole TypeCombo?NotesNarrator 1NMajor?visible onstage at all timesNarrator 2NMajor?visible onstage at all timesSnow WhiteFSupportpossible"not the main character"BelleFMajor?sweet and cunning; the favorite of KingCinderellaFMajor?pure evilEllie (Snow Queen)FMajor?involves a bit of self-loathingLittle MermaidFMajor?REQUIRES SINGINGKingMSupport?insecure & at a mid-life crisisPrince CharmingMMajor?think Hans from "Frozen"SmeagolMSupport?Accurate character voice a plusFrench PrinceMSupport?Bad French accent, or Will Smith -esqueAnimated SnowmanMMinorpossiblecould be neutral; basically OlafExecutionerMMinorpossiblecould be neutralTalking Candle ManMMinorpossiblecould be neutral; French accent a plusBlood Packet Guy/GirlNMajor?involves vocalization of sound effectsHeraldNMinorpossibleDwarf 1MSupportpossiblebasic singing (need not be good)Dwarf 2MMinorpossiblebasic singing (need not be good)Guard 1NSupportpossibleGuard 2NSupportpossibleGuard 3NSupportpossibleSoldier 1NSupportpossibleSoldier 2NSupportpossibleSoldier 3NSupportpossibleFrench Soldier 1NSupportpossibleFrench accent a plusFrench Soldier 2NSupportpossibleFrench accent a plusFrench Soldier 3NSupportpossibleFrench accent a plusOther Princess 1FSupportpossibleJasmineOther Princess 2FMinorpossibleMulanOther Princess 3FMajor?Pocohontas, REQUIRES SINGINGTalking Teapot LadyFMinorpossibleBritish accent a plusPeasant 1NMinorpossiblePeasant 2NMinorpossibleCrowd Member 1NMinorpossibleCrowd Member 2NMinorpossibleGirlFMinorpossiblesilent role-336551367790Smeagol requires physical strength & endurance to carry King on his back for long stretches of time; might also use coconuts for "horse hoof" sound effects while doing so if possible!00Smeagol requires physical strength & endurance to carry King on his back for long stretches of time; might also use coconuts for "horse hoof" sound effects while doing so if possible!-34290760095To be Especially Considered for Other Princess 3/Pocohontas, please prepare "Colors of the Wind" from the line, "You think you own whatever land you land on," through the completion of the chorus (second repetition of "…paint with all the colors of the wind," when she leaps off of the cliff in the film).00To be Especially Considered for Other Princess 3/Pocohontas, please prepare "Colors of the Wind" from the line, "You think you own whatever land you land on," through the completion of the chorus (second repetition of "…paint with all the colors of the wind," when she leaps off of the cliff in the film).-34290327660To be Especially Considered for The Little Mermaid, please prepare the first 45-ish seconds of "Part of Your World" (through the line, "But who cares? BRING COMPLETED FORMS WITH YOU TO THE FIRST REHEARSAL ON SEPTEMBER 14.Production ContractI, __________________________, as a member of the company of Game of Tiaras, in the role/capacity of _________________ understand that there will be many extra-curricular hours of work involved in producing this play. As a member of the cast or crew I am aware that I am expected to attend all rehearsal/work sessions I am called for, which involve after-school hours, three productions, and possible tech Saturdays. In addition, I understand that I am required to stay for strike, no matter how lengthy, following the show on November 21.I realize that a severe drop in my grades would make me ineligible to participate in the production in any capacity. Since my conduct reflects on the company as a whole and on the Theatre Arts Department of Potomac Falls High School, I shall at all times exhibit attitudes and behaviors which will not jeopardize the position of either. Because we work together so closely, I will exhibit proper conduct at all times. I will not use inappropriate language. At no time will I make a comment or a joke at the expense of another cast member. I understand that doing so can result in immediate dismissal from the show.Because of the interdependence of cast and crew, I understand that I am to be on stage, with a pencil and my script, ready to work at my designated rehearsal time. I also understand that I am required to stay the full length of rehearsal every day. Out of respect for me and for my family, I understand that Mrs. Deker will release me promptly according to the posted schedule. The only reason I will miss a rehearsal is if I am ill and not in school. If this happens, you need to e-mail Mrs. Deker at Elizabeth.Deker@. Missing rehearsals without notice can result in dismissal from the show.I agree not to take on additional commitments that would conflict with the rehearsal schedule already in place.I understand that as part of this production, I will perform with or around stage weaponry and may learn stage combat choreography. I will use combat properties with appropriate care and will not use them to harm another person, either accidentally or purposefully. Abusing stage combat properties and/or techniques will result in dismissal from the show and appropriate disciplinary action through the school administration.Student Signature: ______________________________________________ Date: _____________As mother/father/legal guardian of the above named, I give my permission for my child to participate in the production of Game of Tiaras.
