Objective: Investigate the different types of scientists involved in forensic science

Scientists who work in the field of forensic science come from many different educational backgrounds. Your task is to investigate one type of forensic scientist from the list below. You need to research the scientist you choose and prepare a poster that you will present to the class.

What you need to have included in your project:

1. Name of the type of scientist

2. Job description – specifically, what do they do in their job? Where would they work?

3. What schooling was needed to prepare for their job? Undergraduate degree, internships, graduate degree, doctorate, residency? Be specific

4. Salary – what is the starting salary? Salary range

5. Two positive aspects of the job (can be your opinion)

6. Two negative aspects of the job (can be your opinion)

7. Must have two images (pictures on the poster pertaining to the career

8. Must include a works cited page (MLA format) – may be a separate sheet from poster

You will have one class period in the computer lab to research your job and the rest will have to be done on your own time. Presentations will start on Monday, Feb 3, 2014.
