SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR PERMISSION FOR A SITE VISIT

Dear Chairman Bear:

I am writing to request the permission of the Skull Valley Band of Goshute Indians for the group listed below to visit your reservation on November 16, 1999. The purpose of the visit is to provide several members of Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff and staff from our technical assistance contractor, the Center for Nuclear Waste Regulatory Analyses, the opportunity to see the site. I am also requesting that the Skull Valley Band provide an escort to allow the participants to visit the site of the proposed Private Fuel Storage Facility.

Participants will include:

Mark Delligatti Kazimieras Campe

Sherwin Turk Marissa Bailey

Amitava Ghosh Goodluck Ofoegbu

Our plan is for the staff to arrive at the Pony Express Convenience Store on the reservation by 9:00 AM on November 16t" and to meet their escort at that time. We believe that the visit will take approximately one hour.
