Week 1
For the first four weeks, we will be going over warm up exercises to get your child ready for the actual lessons he will complete over the course of the year. Your child will need to complete these assignments on a separate sheet of lined paper.
Day 1 Write out the manuscript alphabet twice.
Day 2 Practice these cursive letters by writing them 25 times
each: e, l, h, k, o, a, c, d. Write the cursive letter "l" repeatedly, connecting the
letters in a series. Do the same with the letter "c". Write these words in cursive 10 times: eel, coal.
Day 3 Practice these cursive letters by writing them 25
times each: g, q, p, i, u, w. Write the cursive letter "q" repeatedly, connecting the
letters in a series. Do the same with the letter "u". Write these words in cursive 10 times: good, help,
gold, quick, will.
Day 4 Practice these cursive letters by writing them 25 times
each: j, f, t, r, s, b.
Write these cursive letters repeatedly, connecting the letters in a series: t, s
Write these words in cursive 10 times: jack, fit, jet, right, sure, boat.
Week 2
Day 1 Practice these cursive letters by writing them 25 times
each: m, n, v, x, y, z. Write these cursive letters repeatedly, connecting the
letters in a series: m, z Write these words in cursive 10 times: men, jam, verse,
year, zebra, x-ray.
Day 2 Write these cursive letters repeatedly, connecting the
letters in a series: i, e, l, a, n. Write these sets of cursive letters twice, observing
some of the similar forms in each set: e, l, b, h, k i, u, j, s, r n, m, y, v, x, z a, d, q, g, o, c p, q, j, y, z
Day 3 Write the cursive alphabet 4 times.

Write these words 10 times each: Messiah, Numbers, Queen, Xerxes, Ur, Victory.
Week 4
Day 1 Write these cursive letters 10 times each: Y, y, Z, z, P, p,
R, r. Write these words 10 times each: You, Yoke, Zacharias,
Zacchaeus, Zion, Paul, Peter, Philip, Ruth, Romans.
Day 2 Write these cursive letters 10 times each: L, l, J, j. Write these words 10 times each: Lord, Luke, Jesus,
James, John. Write these sets of cursive letters twice, observing
some of the similar forms in each set: H, K, M, N, W X, U, V, Y, Z, Q B, I, G, S O, C, E, A, D J, L, P, R
Day 3 Write the upper case alphabet in cursive 4 times. Write these words in cursive 10 times: Ephesians,
Philippians, Galatians, Colossians, James, 1 Peter, 1 John, 1 Thessalonians.
Day 4 Write the uppercase and lower case alphabet 3 times.
