The acronym VIP stands for Very Important Person, and those are the words that I feel best describe my dad. He is an important person for many reasons. He is caring to everyone he meets, he is always willing to lend a helping hand, and he tries to do his best in everything he does. My dad is a retired Central Bucks teacher. He taught for 35 years starting at Titus Elementary and finishing at Jamison Elementary schools. Now that my dad is retired, he likes to spend his time doing many different activities.

First, my dad enjoys spending time down the shore in Ocean City, New Jersey. While down the shore, my dad love to take rides and fish off his boat, and build sand castles on the beach with his grandchildren. When my dad is at his house, he enjoys exercising with his dog Lucy, and playing with one of his new toys, his classic car.

My dad loves to collect and run his model trains in his basement. He displays them in cases of the walls and on a platform that looks like a small town. Everyone love to watch as the trains travel around the town on the tracks.

My dad finds great satisfaction in helping other people. One way he helps many people is by giving blood to the Red Cross. He donates a lot, and over a period of about ten years, he has donated over 25 quarts of blood to help people in need.

In closing, my dad is my VIP for many reasons. He is always there when you need him and he is a great friend. Even though my dad loves to drive his boat, read to his grand kids and have fun down the shore; he will always be special to me because he is my VIP.
