Premier utilizes Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) compliant technology, including a Virtual Private Network (VPN), 256 AES SSL and 128-bit encryption, plus much more.

Premier’s state-of-the-art technology includes a transcription platform that can accommodate the custom needs of their clients’, including those who are using voice recognition technology and the electronic health record. Complete interfacing and/or integration with other healthcare systems is available. Some include EPIC, McKesson’s iKnowMed, Meditech, Mosaiq, Cerner, and Fusion to name a few. A standard HL7 interface can also be accomplished. Voice Capture can be via call-in dictation with a 24/7/365 toll free number, PC based dictation or digital handheld recorders and smart phone devices for the portable solution. Many al-a-cart features, such as Premier’s web portal are also available.

Job Duties Description:

Interprets and transcribes dictation by physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient assessment, workup, therapeutic procedures, clinical course, diagnosis, prognosis, etc., in order to document patient care and facilitate delivery of healthcare services.

Education and Experience Level Required:

• High school graduate, or higher

• Minimum of three (3) years of work experience as a MLS, acute care experience preferred.

• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, clinical medicine, surgery, diagnostic tests, radiology, pathology, pharmacology, and the various medical specialties as required in areas of responsibility.

• Knowledge of medical transcription guidelines and practices.

Other Qualifications Required:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including English usage, grammar, punctuation, and style.

• Ability to understand diverse accents and dialects and varying dictation styles.

• Ability to use designated reference materials.

• Ability to operate designated computer equipment, i.e., word processing, dictation, and transcription equipment, as well as other technical equipment as specified.
