Caring for an older loved one is a blessing

and a challenge. The time, effort and love you

give are precious, and in many instances lifesustaining. Please know that your church family

is here to support you.

This handbook is for you. You may want to bring it with you

to each program activity and have it handy when you connect

with your Caregiver Buddy Volunteer. It contains two sections.

The first provides a place where you can record what you are

learning through the Connecting Caregivers to Community

(CC2C) program. Then you can capture how you plan to

incorporate the information learned into your everyday life

using the 3-2-1 method. The second section lists numerous

resources ¡ª assessment forms, advocacy tips, helpful articles,

lists of resource organizations, and much more. Use these

resources to reduce your stress, find services to assist you and

learn about useful ways to manage caregiving.
